The Times of India reports three process milestones: technical scrutiny within 22 days of application submission, 60 days for owners to respond to queries after technical valuation, and 30 days to decide objections and suggestions. Do not confuse this with the revenue department’s conversion service

That is a separate process description, not proof that the revenue route and the development-authority amendment are interchangeable. The published material reviewed does not settle which procedure applies to every parcel, how the processes interact or whether one replaces the other. How to check whether the reported rule matters for a plot
- Identify the jurisdiction. Ask which development authority or other competent body controls the parcel, and whether the land falls within its planning area.
- Check the existing and proposed use. Compare the parcel’s present status with the applicable master-plan use and the exact proposed category. The reported conversion threshold does not establish that a requested use is permitted by the plan.
- Verify the plot area. Establish the area on the relevant records and ask the authority whether the reported limit of up to 6,000 sq m applies to the proposed application.
- Get a written charge calculation. Have the authority confirm the use category, circle-rate basis and any applicable conversion charge against the operative notification.
- Confirm the application route and records. Ask which authority receives the application, which documents and map are required, and whether any separate revenue procedure applies.
- Keep conversion separate from building permission. Ask what additional planning, development and building-plan approvals are required. The reviewed sources do not show that this amendment waives them or guarantees construction permission.
