Official PC performance targets and requirements
PlayStation’s published tiers pair a target resolution and frame rate with a quality preset and hardware. Treat the targets as guidance rather than guaranteed results in every chapter or on every system.

| Tier | Target | GPU | CPU | Memory and storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | 720p, 30 FPS, Medium | GTX 960 (4 GB) or R9 290X (4 GB) | Intel i5-4430 on PlayStation’s PC page; i5-4330 in Naughty Dog’s FAQ and PlayStation Blog. AMD Ryzen 3 1200. | 8 GB RAM; HDD, with SSD recommended |
| Recommended | 1080p, 30 FPS, High | GTX 1060 (6 GB) or RX 570 (4 GB) | Intel i7-4770 or Ryzen 5 1500X | 16 GB RAM; SSD |
| Performance | 1440p, 60 FPS, High | RTX 2070 (8 GB) or RX 5700 XT (8 GB) | Intel i7-7700K or Ryzen 7 3700X | 16 GB RAM; SSD |
| Ultra | 4K, 60 FPS, Ultra | RTX 3080 (10 GB) or RX 6800 (16 GB) | Intel i9-9900K or Ryzen 9 3950X | 16 GB RAM; SSD |
These specifications are from PlayStation’s PC requirements and features page and Naughty Dog’s PC requirements FAQ. Both list Windows 10 64-bit and 126 GB of storage. The minimum Intel CPU differs between the official pages; the discrepancy is shown above rather than silently resolved. PlayStation’s page lists 16 GB RAM and an SSD for the three higher tiers.
How to choose settings for your PC
Start with the tier closest to your hardware and the resolution you actually use. If the game does not hold the target you want, adjust one setting at a time and compare performance in the same scene. This is practical tuning guidance, not a measured ranking of which setting saves the most frames.

- From thick jungles to snow-capped mountains, exotic islands to rain-soaked streets, explore every inch of stunningly beautiful environments in spectacular detail. Immerse yourself in the cinematic storytelling with super-sharp 4K resolution*, and Ultra-Wide Monitor support**. Enjoy a host of enhanced graphical adjustment features such as adjustable Texture and Model Quality, Anisotropic Filtering, Shadows, Reflections and Ambient Occlusion.
- Experience haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects designed for UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection by playing with the DualSensecontroller through a wired connection to your PC ****. With full control remapping and support for the DualShock4 controller ***, XInput Game Controllers, and a wide range of other gamepads and keyboard and mouse, you can leave your mark on the map any way you like. For those that want to brighten things up even more, try out RGB support for Razer Chroma peripherals and Chroma Link compatible devices, as well as for Logitech and Corsair models.
- Unearth a wide variety of modes and PC-centric enhancements such as improved UI for game options, reimagined user interfaces, the addition of scale sliders for some menus, GPU and VRAM detection and management options, as well as adding Auto Pause, Minimize in Background and Variable Load Speed support along with a host of other additions.
- Supercharge your framerates as you seek your fortune as Nathan and Chloe with next-level temporal upscaling technology from AMD. FSR 2 uses cutting-edge algorithms to boost your framerates and deliver high-quality, high-resolution game experiences in UNCHARTED across a wide range of compatible graphics cards.
- Set your display resolution. Choose the resolution you intend to play at before judging performance. The PC release supports 4K and ultrawide displays, provided the PC and display are compatible.
- Choose a quality starting point. Use the publisher’s corresponding tier—Medium, High, or Ultra—as an initial reference, not a guarantee.
- Adjust individual graphics options. The menu exposes Texture Quality, Model Quality, Anisotropic Filtering, Shadows, Reflections, and Ambient Occlusion. Lower or raise them incrementally to find the balance you prefer.
- Try AMD FSR 2 if you need more performance. It is a temporal upscaler. Compare the resulting image and frame rate at your chosen output resolution; the official feature information does not specify a universal best mode.
- Recheck after changing scenes or games. The collection includes both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and demanding scenes can behave differently.
PlayStation documents the graphics options, FSR 2, 4K, and ultrawide support on its PC features page. It does not publish a per-setting FPS cost or a universal best preset.
Why benchmark results vary
Independent tests illustrate why a target or one benchmark should not be treated as a prediction for every player. In a Notebookcheck review published in 2022, a desktop RTX 3080 paired with an i9-12900K averaged 57.4 FPS at 3840×2160 Ultra; a desktop RTX 3070 with the same CPU averaged 40.9 FPS. The test used a demanding opening sequence in The Lost Legacy, so those figures describe that review’s hardware and scene—not a current guarantee or a result for every part of the collection. See Notebookcheck’s 2022 benchmark review.

DSOGaming’s October 2022 analysis tested a range of GeForce and Radeon GPUs with an i9-9900K and 16 GB of DDR4. Its GPU and CPU tests used an early open area in Uncharted 4; the author noted that The Lost Legacy appeared more demanding in initial testing. The article also reported that the PC release had no built-in benchmark tool, making the chosen scene important. See DSOGaming’s PC performance analysis.

These are historical tests on particular software builds and systems. For a meaningful comparison, record the GPU and its laptop or desktop power level, CPU, resolution, graphics preset, game and scene, game version, drivers, average FPS and low-frame metrics, and upscaling mode. Results without those conditions can be misleading.

Updates and common troubleshooting checks
Naughty Dog’s official PC release-notes index, reviewed October 4, 2026, lists versions 1.4, 1.3.20812, 1.2.20711, and 1.1.20381; v1.4 is the newest entry in that index. That does not establish whether a later update was delivered through another platform channel.
Audio pops, clicks, or compatibility problems
Version 1.4, dated July 6, 2023, added audio compatibility choices. Naughty Dog says raising audio latency can improve reliability on lower-spec CPUs and may address pops, clicks, distortion, some large audio-interface buffers, or some wireless-headphone issues. Restart the game for the change to take effect. See the v1.4 release notes.

- Uncharted 4 A Thief's End Multiplayer Beta - purchasers of Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection will receive exclusive access to Uncharted 4 A Thief's End multiplayer Beta while the Beta is available (a UK/EU PSN account may be required)
Older CPU compatibility
Version 1.3.20812 added fallback executables for older CPUs without AVX2 support. The release notes say this has no performance impact on newer CPUs; that update also documented mouse and stability improvements and an option to relocate the shader cache. See the v1.3.20812 release notes.
Crashes, stability, and motion blur
Version 1.2.20711 was a hotfix for several reported crashes and reverted a performance improvement from the preceding update. Version 1.1.20381 documented general stability and performance improvements and noted that motion blur’s effectiveness decreases at higher frame rates. Consult the v1.2.20711 hotfix notes and v1.1.20381 release notes when checking what those versions changed.

Other documented PC features
- Storage: PlayStation lists 126 GB and recommends an SSD even for the minimum tier. This is a storage recommendation, not evidence of an FPS increase.
- Controller: DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive trigger effects are supported on PC through a wired connection. This feature does not improve frame rate.
- Display options: 4K and ultrawide are supported, but the Ultra performance target specifies a much stronger GPU tier than the minimum. The display format alone does not determine whether a PC can run it smoothly.
These details are listed on PlayStation’s PC features page.
