The figure also does not establish that every programme had the same outcome. What should prospective students ask for?
If employment outcomes are important to your decision, ask UCD Smurfit School for the underlying 2025 graduate outcomes report or survey documentation. Useful details include:
- Which programmes and graduates were included, and how the graduate population was defined.
- How many graduates responded and what proportion of the eligible group that represents.
- How “employed” was defined and how the nine-month period was measured.
- Whether results are broken down by programme, role or location, and how missing responses were treated.
Until those details are available, treat the 88% as a useful headline from the school, but not as a complete or independently verified account of likely employment outcomes.
