Ubisoft has placed Creative House 2 under the Massive Entertainment identity, grouping The Division, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and original games including March of Giants within one portfolio. The announcement describes a shared organizational identity—not a confirmed move of every franchise team to Massive’s Swedish studio, or the reveal of a new game or release date.

What Ubisoft announced

In its announcement, Ubisoft says Creative House 2 teams will operate under the Massive Entertainment identity. The company identifies The Division, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and new original intellectual property, including March of Giants, as part of the portfolio.

Ubisoft also says it will publish and distribute games developed under the Massive Entertainment brand. That is a statement about the brand’s portfolio and Ubisoft’s role; it does not say that every listed franchise will be made by one studio or that all of its teams have physically relocated to Sweden.

How the change fits Ubisoft’s reorganization

The move follows Ubisoft’s January 21, 2026 reset of its operating model, portfolio and organization. The company described Creative Houses as integrated units combining development and go-to-market functions, with financial responsibility. It assigned Creative House 2 to competitive and cooperative shooter experiences, naming The Division, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell among its franchises. Ubisoft also said it had reviewed its three-year roadmap and changed projects and development schedules. (January reset announcement)

Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot described the purpose of the new structure: “At the center of this transformation are our Creative Houses, integrated business units now combining production and publishing and therefore unifying the gamer relationship.”

What it means for Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon

Both franchises now sit within the portfolio Ubisoft has associated with the Massive Entertainment identity. That tells readers how Ubisoft is organizing and presenting this part of its game business; it does not identify the specific development team for a future title, announce a new Splinter Cell or Ghost Recon game, or establish where any such game would be developed.

Ubisoft’s May 20, 2026 update said it was finalizing Creative House 2’s General Manager and leadership team. It also described a stronger pipeline for fiscal years 2027–28 and 2028–29 that included Ghost Recon. This is a broad company outlook, not confirmation of a particular game’s launch date.
