Ubisoft is ending Rainbow Six Mobile, the separate iOS and Android game, and says it will remain available until January 15, 2027. The shutdown announcement does not name a specific reason. It is not an announcement that Rainbow Six Siege is shutting down.
When will Rainbow Six Mobile shut down?
Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Mobile development team announced the decision on October 8, 2026. Its Spanish-language announcement says the game will remain available until January 15, 2027. Ubisoft has not specified an hour or time zone for that date, so players should watch for further transition details from the company.

Why is Ubisoft ending the game?
Ubisoft has not given a specific financial, player-count, operating-cost, or technical reason in its shutdown announcement. The team said it would move to other strategic long-term projects, but did not identify that as a cause or explain the decision further.
#1 Best Overall
- 1,200 in-game credits for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
- Use these credits in-game to purchase the newest Operators, uniforms, weapon skins, charms, and more!
- R6 Credit code will be delivered via email from Amazon and redeemed in the Ubisoft Connect launcher
The post is signed by the Rainbow Six Mobile team, not a named executive. It also reflects on 15 seasons since early access began in 2023; that figure refers to the game’s earlier development and availability, not 15 seasons since its worldwide launch.
How could a game launched in 2026 be ending so soon?
“Launched in 2026” refers to Rainbow Six Mobile’s worldwide release, not the start of all player access. Ubisoft announced a worldwide launch date of February 23, 2026, and its separate launch post said the game was live worldwide on February 24. The shutdown announcement describes an early-access period beginning in 2023.

Is Rainbow Six Siege shutting down too?
No such shutdown is announced in Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Mobile post. Rainbow Six Siege is a separate game, and Ubisoft’s Siege pages showed seasonal updates and future content in 2026. That supports saying Siege was still receiving updates at that time; it is not a guarantee about its long-term future.
