Its strongest case is the combination of simultaneous 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, two swappable batteries and reviewers’ praise for sound and microphone quality. Its $349.99 US launch MSRP, mixed reports on active noise cancellation (ANC) and fit, and the cost and setup of additional transmitters make it a specialist purchase—not an automatic upgrade for every gamer.
What is different about the Stealth Pro II?
CrossPlay 2.0 is the defining feature: the headset can switch among up to four USB wireless transmitters. Turtle Beach CEO Cris Keirn described the system as letting players “seamlessly switch between up to four platforms and devices at the touch of a button” in the company’s April 16, 2026 announcement. The practical qualification is important: transmitters for the sources you want to switch between must be connected and powered, and the headset’s switching action does not turn on the platform.

The headset also pairs Bluetooth 5.3 with its 2.4GHz connection, so a compatible phone can stay connected for calls or audio while you game. That flexibility is useful, but it does not mean Bluetooth audio automatically takes priority over game sound; Tom’s Guide reports that game audio continued alongside incoming Bluetooth audio in its review.
Choose the right edition for your platforms
Turtle Beach sells Xbox and PC/PlayStation versions, and they are not interchangeable in every feature. The Xbox edition supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as well as PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Bluetooth-equipped mobile devices. The PC/PlayStation edition supports PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Bluetooth-equipped mobile devices, but not Xbox. Check the edition name before buying if Xbox compatibility matters. Turtle Beach’s product page lists compatibility and explains edition-specific functions in its FAQ.

Both editions advertise Japan Audio Society-certified Hi-Res wireless audio up to 24-bit/96kHz where supported. The format is not available at that rate on every console: Turtle Beach says PlayStation and Xbox are limited to 16-bit/48kHz, while PC and other compatible systems can support up to 24-bit/96kHz. The company also specifies 60mm Eclipse dual drivers, Dolby Atmos support and a 10Hz–40kHz speaker frequency response; those are product specifications, not independent measures of sound quality.
What CrossPlay 2.0 needs—and what comes in the box
The package contains a transmitter dock and one separate CrossPlay USB wireless transmitter. That means the included hardware covers two USB sources, not four. Additional transmitters are sold separately. Before treating four-source switching as a ready-to-use setup, count the USB sources you need and account for the extra transmitter hardware.

- 60mm Eclipse Dual Drivers for Immersive Spatial Audio
- Flip-to-Mute Mic with A.I.-Based Noise Reduction
- Long-Lasting Battery Life of up to 80-Hours plus Quick-Charge
- Included: headset, one CrossPlay USB wireless transmitter, transmitter dock, 2m/6ft USB-A to USB-C charging cable, two batteries, quick-start insert and hard-shell case.
- For switching: each relevant USB transmitter must already be connected and powered. Switching does not wake or power on the attached console or computer.
- For phone audio: Bluetooth can be active at the same time as 2.4GHz wireless.
The quick-start guide provides the setup instructions. A base station can make a multi-platform setup more convenient, but CrossPlay’s maximum source count is a capability ceiling—not the number of platforms covered by the included hardware.

PC Gamer’s May 28, 2026 review describes the sound as immersive and punchy, and reports a reliable wireless connection in the reviewer’s daily use. In that reviewer’s comparison, the Stealth Pro II delivered a preferred gaming presentation over the Audeze Maxwell, while the Maxwell was described as cheaper and capable of sounding clearer and more neutral. Those are listening judgments, not objective rankings; the more energetic presentation may suit some games and listeners better than others.

Tom’s Guide praises the microphone’s clean, clear pickup. That is a meaningful strength for voice chat, especially for buyers who want one headset for games and calls. Its Bluetooth finding is less seamless: game audio continued while Bluetooth audio arrived, rather than yielding to it. Consider that behavior if your priority is hearing a phone call over game sound.

ANC is a point of disagreement with the headset’s premium positioning. Tom’s Guide calls it the product’s biggest letdown and says the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro it compared against was cheaper and stronger on ANC. That is one reviewer’s comparison, not a comprehensive market ranking. The same review describes the fit as clampy for that reviewer’s head; head shape and tolerance for clamping force vary, so the report is a reason to try the fit or check the return policy, not proof that it will feel uncomfortable to everyone.

Turtle Beach rates the two rechargeable lithium-polymer batteries for up to 40 hours combined. Tom’s Guide reports the manufacturer’s single-battery rating as up to 20 hours with ANC off, consistent with using the two packs in sequence. These are stated ratings, not runtime measurements from an independent test here. Swapping packs can keep play going without waiting for a recharge, but the advertised total depends on the rated conditions.

Is the Stealth Pro II worth it?
Turtle Beach announced the headset on April 16, 2026 with a May 17, 2026 launch date and a US MSRP of $349.99 (also listed as €349.99 / £299.99). Those are launch facts, not a current retailer-price check. PC Gamer and Tom’s Guide both call attention to the premium $349 price; neither review establishes current pricing or a complete ranking against the market.
The value proposition depends on whether the specific capabilities solve a real problem for you. CrossPlay 2.0 is most compelling if you regularly move among several USB-connected devices and are willing to buy any additional transmitters you need. The swappable-battery system is another concrete advantage for long sessions. If you mainly use one console, want especially strong ANC, or need a light-clamping fit, those benefits may not justify the premium. For a comparison with alternatives, weigh platform support and edition, transmitter count and added hardware cost, sound and mic preferences, ANC and comfort, battery strategy, and total price—not the feature list alone.
