Newsrooms reported that data attributed to 3,615 Trump Mobile users was published online, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses and order details. The records reportedly included Eric Brunnett, the Trump Organization’s chief information officer—but his corporate role does not establish that he managed Trump Mobile’s security.

What information was reportedly exposed?

Cybernews reported on October 6, 2026, that a group calling itself BYOD published data attributed to 3,615 Trump Mobile users. The reported fields included:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Home addresses
  • Order details

Cybernews said researchers examined samples that appeared legitimate and were not linked to earlier breaches. Straight Arrow News separately reported reviewing records attributed to the same number of customers and said people it contacted confirmed details in the dataset. These are newsroom findings, not a final count confirmed by the company or a regulator. Cybernews Straight Arrow News

The reviewed reports do not establish that passwords, payment information, call records or messages were exposed in this incident. That is a limit of what those reports describe, not proof that those data types were unaffected.

Why Eric Brunnett is mentioned

Cybernews identified Eric Brunnett, Trump Organization vice president and chief information officer, among the records attributed to Trump Mobile customers. The outlet reproduced his profile description saying he oversees “all information technology and information security for all aspects” of the organization.

That description concerns his Trump Organization role; it does not establish that he operated or secured Trump Mobile. His record appearing in the reported dataset also does not show that it caused or enabled the incident. Neither report said a member of the Trump family appeared among the exposed customers. What is known—and not known—about the alleged intrusion

BYOD claimed that the intrusion began when a Liberty Mobile employee was infected with a remote access trojan, after which the group moved to Trump Mobile subdomains and extracted data. The group also claimed it still had access to a Trump Mobile dashboard. Straight Arrow News said BYOD supplied a screenshot.

Those details remain claims attributed to the group in the reviewed coverage. The reports do not independently establish the initial access route or that dashboard access continued. Straight Arrow News reported that Trump Mobile did not immediately respond to its request for comment; the reviewed reports do not establish an official response, final scope, customer notifications or remediation. This is separate from an earlier pre-order exposure

Cybernews previously reported that a website flaw exposed details from a T1 pre-order form. That was a separate incident. The company statement quoted in that earlier coverage said it had not identified evidence that its systems, infrastructure or network were directly compromised at that time. It should not be treated as a response to, or denial of, the later BYOD claims. Cybernews on the earlier pre-order exposure

What customers can do now

Because the reported fields include contact and address details, customers can be alert to unexpected calls, messages or order-related contact that uses accurate personal information. A familiar name, phone number or order detail is not by itself proof that a message is genuine.

  • Verify unexpected requests through a contact channel you find independently, rather than using a link or number in the message.
  • Be cautious of callers or senders asking for passwords, verification codes or payment.
  • Follow any direct notice or instructions from Trump Mobile if the company issues an update.

The reviewed reports do not establish an official customer-notification process. They also do not establish that account passwords or payment details were part of this dataset.
