The Triple-i Initiative October 2026 Showcase, held on October 8, 2026, featured 40 games according to the event’s organizer-side recap. The show mixed new game reveals, DLC and crossover content, release-date news, and playable demos and playtests, several of which went live on Steam during the event. Platform support and timing differ from title to title, so the sections below sort the announcements by what you can do with them: follow a reveal, track an update, or try a demo now.
What the showcase covered
- Date: October 8, 2026. The organizer’s event recap was published the same day at 17:10 UTC.
- Scope: 40 games, per the organizer’s recap.
- Runtime: The sources disagree. The post-event organizer recap says the show ran 40 minutes, while the organizer’s September pre-event announcement and the Steam Deck HQ roundup both give 45 minutes. Treat the length as unconfirmed until the official broadcast page or VOD lists it.
- Playable immediately: Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts DLC was available on showcase day, along with several demos and playtests listed on Steam.

- Over 60 musicians: The organizer recap says Aftergods’ reveal trailer was scored by a live orchestra of over 60 musicians.
Checking the list before you act on it
The organizer and press sources do not describe every one of the 40 games in equal detail, so this list covers the announcements that are documented in enough depth to report. For a full picture, check the showcase’s Steam page and the official broadcast. Before you wishlist, download a demo, or plan a purchase, confirm the platform and date on that game’s store page, because early-2027 and season-style windows are estimates and can move.
