Identify your Toshiba TV’s platform
Toshiba Smart TVs do not all use the same app store. The manuals and product information cited here cover VIDAA, Fire TV, and Android TV models; their instructions are not interchangeable. Check the model number on the TV label or in its settings, then look up the model’s Toshiba support page and manual. Install an app on a VIDAA Toshiba TV
On VIDAA models covered by Toshiba’s MB281V manual, connect the TV to the internet, press Home, open the app store, choose or search for the app, and select Install. The exact menu wording can differ by model family: another Toshiba VIDAA manual documents Home > More Apps > app store. Use the path shown on your TV or in its model-specific manual rather than assuming either path applies to every Toshiba set. The MB281V manual says an internet connection is required for this app-store function. Some circumstances may also prompt you to sign in with a VIDAA account. The manual says adding apps is free, but using some apps may cost money.

Install an app on a Toshiba Fire TV
Use the Amazon Appstore already on the Fire TV, search for the app, and follow the installation prompt displayed by your set. Toshiba’s MB180Y manual documents Appstore settings and installed-app management, but does not establish one complete download button sequence for every version of Fire TV. Some Appstore options may depend on network status or whether you are signed in to an Amazon account. The manual also describes settings for automatic updates, in-app purchases, and external market links.

Install an app on a Toshiba Android TV
If your Toshiba TV runs Android TV, open Google Play Store and use the on-screen installation prompt. Toshiba identifies model 24WA2363DG as an Android TV and lists Google Play Store as a feature; that confirms the store for that model, not for every Toshiba Smart TV. If the app is missing or will not install
Check the connection and account prompt
If the store will not load, first confirm that the TV is connected to the internet. For VIDAA, Toshiba specifically requires internet access for the documented app-store function. Complete any VIDAA or Amazon sign-in prompt shown by your TV; account requirements can vary by platform and store feature.

Search inside the store and check availability
Search in the app store rather than relying only on apps shown on the home screen. Toshiba’s VIDAA manual documents searching from Home or from the store. App availability varies by country or region, and there is no complete current app-by-model-by-country catalog in the cited materials. Check the store on your TV and the app provider’s supported-device information before assuming an app is available.
Distinguish an app install from its cost to use
An app may be free to add but still charge for use, a subscription, or purchases within the app. Toshiba’s VIDAA manual makes that distinction, and the Fire TV manual documents in-app-purchase controls. Check the app provider’s terms for any separate account or payment requirement.

Consider an external streaming player only if needed
If the app is not available in your TV’s built-in store, an external streaming player connected through HDMI may be an alternative. Toshiba says its TVs can be connected to and used with external devices, but the cited pages do not confirm support for a particular player or app combination.
