Before you troubleshoot: confirm what’s actually broken
Start with quick checks so you don’t waste time on fixes that won’t work.
- Confirm the issue scope: does it happen on only your phone or also on another Android device (if you have one)?

- Tap Clear cache
- Reopen TikTok and test login/feed loading
If clearing cache doesn’t help, you can try Clear storage (often labeled Clear data). Be aware: this usually resets the app state and may log you out.
Check permissions and background data
Some phones restrict background activity when the app looks “inactive,” which can worsen failures.
- Settings → Apps → TikTok → Mobile data & Wi‑Fi: ensure background data is allowed.
- Battery settings: disable battery optimization for TikTok.
