The thinnest exact-model figure we can attribute to a specific case for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is Totallee’s Scarf at 0.02 inches, a manufacturer specification rather than an independent measurement. The other options below are shortlist candidates, each with the source of its numbers stated.
Why this is a shortlist rather than a ranking
A reliable ranking of the thinnest cases needs current thickness and weight figures measured the same way for every product, for the exact phone model. The published data does not meet that standard. The thickness numbers below come from each brand’s own product listing, and they were not checked by an independent lab. Some of the figures also describe a different phone. PITAKA’s comparison data, for example, comes from an iPhone 17 test sample, so it cannot be used to describe an iPhone 15 case. No independent side-by-side thickness or drop test covering these models was found, so no case here should be described as the verified thinnest on the market.

Totallee Scarf Super Thin
This is the minimum-bulk option in the shortlist. Totallee lists the same 0.02-inch thickness for both iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, and it describes the case as polypropylene with a raised camera lip. Its iPhone 15 page says the cases are “designed to offer everyday protection from bumps, scratches, dirt, and minor drops.” That is the maker’s wording. The 15 Plus page adds a 3-foot drop test, which is also Totallee’s claim and has not been independently confirmed. Choose this case if the goal is to feel as close as possible to a bare phone while still having a scratch barrier. Do not choose it on the assumption that a 0.02-inch shell will survive a hard fall.

Thinborne 600D Aramid MagSafe
This is the candidate for readers who want MagSafe built in. Thinborne lists it for iPhone 15 Plus only, at 0.04 inches and 0.8 ounces, with a built-in MagSafe ring and aramid fiber construction. The maker explicitly says the case is not designed for high-impact drops, so treat it as a scratch and light-wear layer. When the listing was last checked, it showed as sold out, so confirm stock before planning around it.
Totallee Clear Grip
This is the clear option, and it trades a little thickness for grip. Totallee lists the Clear Grip for iPhone 15 Plus at 0.04 inches, made of TPU, with shock-absorbing material and a camera lip. It is twice the stated thickness of the Scarf. If you use a bare phone and find it slippery, that extra 0.02 inch may be worth it. Weight and MagSafe support are not stated in the listing we reviewed.

Candidates without exact-model figures
PITAKA
PITAKA sells collections for both iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, so it belongs on a longer list. Its comparison figures, about 0.99 mm and 20 g for the Edge and about 2 mm and 35 g for the Cairn and Summa, were measured on an iPhone 17 test sample and should not be read as iPhone 15 specifications. Check the exact iPhone 15 or 15 Plus product page before comparing it with the cases above.
Latercase
Latercase’s support material lists an iPhone 15 and 15 Plus series and gives a general figure of 0.6 mm thickness and 6 to 12 g weight. That range applies across the family, not to a single model, so it cannot rank one case against another. Use the individual product page for the actual value.

How to choose
- Thinnest possible, scratch protection only: start with the Totallee Scarf, which has the lowest stated thickness for both models.
- iPhone 15 Plus with MagSafe: the Thinborne aramid case is the only shortlisted option with a stated built-in ring, but check stock first.
- Clear case with better grip: the Totallee Clear Grip adds 0.02 inch over the Scarf in exchange for TPU grip.
- Drop protection as the priority: none of the shortlisted cases is presented by its maker as a heavy-drop solution, so a thicker protective case is a better fit for that need.
Before you buy
- Confirm the model. Match the listing to iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus, since the 15 and 15 Plus are different sizes.
- Compare the stated thickness with the same unit, inches or millimetres, and note whether the figure is for the case alone.
- Check whether the listing states weight and MagSafe support. Several of the figures above are marked not stated.
- Check stock and the listing date, since availability changes.
- Read the maker’s protection and drop claims as product claims, not independent results.
Treat the list as a set of starting points, not a finished ranking. Once you have the exact product page open for each candidate, the thickness and drop claims can be compared directly.
