What the 200-plus count includes
The figure is a dated milestone, not a live total: more games can receive ratings over time. The reported 70 VR-only titles are a subset of the overall count, which also includes flatscreen games. Examples named from the VR portion include Beat Saber, UNDERDOGS, Moss VR, Ancient Dungeon, Pistol Whip, The Last Clockwinder and Synth Riders.

A separate Steam Frame Lab catalog snapshot, accessed October 7, 2026, listed 234 certified entries: 89 VR games (87 Verified and 2 Playable) and 145 flatscreen games (109 Verified and 36 Playable). That total is not directly interchangeable with GamingOnLinux’s earlier “more than 200 Verified” milestone: the snapshot includes Playable entries as well as Verified ones and reflects a different update time. What Steam Frame Verified means
Valve’s Standalone Verified assessment concerns a game running locally on Steam Frame in standalone mode. Valve describes the headset as designed for PC game streaming as well as local use, but games running on a PC and streamed to the headset are outside this assessment. The program covers both 2D and VR games.

Verified is a compatibility and setup signal, not a review score or a judgment of a game’s quality. Valve’s labels indicate what to expect:
- Verified: The game passes the compatibility checks without requiring users to configure it.
- Playable: The game works, but may require manual steps, such as changing the controller configuration or adjusting settings.
- Unsupported: Compatibility problems prevent the game from functioning.
- Unknown: The review is not complete.
How performance figures fit the rating
Valve’s minimum normal-play performance checks specify 30 fps at 1280×720 for 2D titles and 72 fps at 1728×1728 for VR titles. These are minimum performance criteria, not a complete description of the rating: Valve also assesses controls and other parts of the out-of-box experience.

What to check before choosing a game
- Check the rating: Verified and Playable are different setup expectations; a catalog total that combines them is not a Verified-only count.
- Check the mode: The count includes VR and flatscreen games, so “Steam Frame Verified” does not mean “VR-only.”
- Check how you plan to play: The badge describes local standalone compatibility, not performance or compatibility when streaming a game from a PC.
