This is a chapter-organized guide to the currently documented puzzles in The Sinking City 2. The available guide covers selected puzzles through Chapter 5; it says some late-game and optional-wing solutions are still being verified, so this is not a claim to list every puzzle in the game.

How to use the hints and answers
The casebook and mind map help connect evidence, but they can indicate that clues are related without giving you the final combination or sequence. For each puzzle below, the clue-first note offers a nudge; the direct answer gives the input or action.

Guard Post gate fuse box
Clue-first hint: The fuse box is not at the Guard Post. Look in the Radio Store, then match the fuse shapes to the colored wire circuits. Bays with grey wires are not part of the active solution.
Direct solution: Take the fuse box from the Radio Store to the electrical box at the Guard Post. In the three active middle bays, place the straight (I-shaped) fuse to connect the blue wires, the T-shaped fuse to connect the yellow/green wires, and the right-angle (L-shaped) fuse to connect the red/orange wires. Validate the completed circuits, then pull the lever on the right.
Apartment 5 safe
Clue-first hint: The combination is the year the Radio Store opened.
Direct answer: Enter 1908. The safe contains handgun ammunition and a Dolorocide healing pill; opening it is also listed as the requirement for The Inheritance achievement.
Chapter 2 — The Wake-Up Call
Church Trident and graveyard obelisk
Clue-first hint: Pair the four gods with the symbols using the “Call Upon Believers” altar note and the “First Vision” crypt note. “From the depth to the heights” indicates the order to enter them.
Direct solution: Take the key beside the church blockage switch and use it to open the Star-locked door, then collect the Trident. At the graveyard obelisk, enter the symbols from top to bottom in this order:
- Yig — Serpent Form
- Tsog-Nar — Crooked Cross
- Gyrh — Spearhead
- Cthylla — Splayed Womb
After placing the symbols, move clear of the obelisk while three lightning strikes charge the Trident. Enemies may appear during this sequence. Return the charged Trident to its original place, then take the dagger from the statue nearest the altar and put it in the altar slot to open the basement route.
Church watergate safe
Clue-first hint: The combination comes from the church bell’s casting year: use the church’s construction year and add five.
Direct answer: Enter 1672. The church was built in 1667, and the bell was cast five years later.
Cursed printing press
Clue-first hint: Find three plates: one in the graveyard mausoleum, one in the Printing House bedroom reached by the path above the crashed van, and one in the house north of the Fire Department after the crane moves the whale. The press is behind the Director’s Office; the objective is to make the grid one color.
Direct solution and reward choice: Insert all three plates, then flip tiles until the grid is entirely gold or entirely silver. One guide gives these tile inputs:
- Silver outcome: Flip top-left, middle-right and bottom-right. The chapter guide lists two Dream Essence as the reward.
- Gold outcome: Flip center, bottom-left, middle-right and top-right. The chapter guide describes a shotgun accessory; a separate code guide names it Cutter’s Sturdy Stock.
The sources differ on which reward is more valuable and are not fully aligned on the gold item’s exact naming. Treat this as a build choice: Dream Essence supports talent spending, while the gold outcome is a shotgun attachment. The available descriptions do not establish a universal best option.

Clue-first hint: The numbered controls are pressed in groups, with a red switch between the second and final use of control 1.
Direct answer: Press 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3; switch to red; then press 1 once.
Devil’s Reef Hotel, Room 301 safe
Clue-first hint: Check the safe-code letter and the “Baby, One More Tide” lyrics.
Direct answer: Enter 2137. The listed contents are a Voss Aiming Grip pistol attachment and ammunition.
Chapter 3 — A Sight for Sore Eyes
Prism stations
Clue-first hint: There are three stations. Match each room’s ring pattern to its corresponding pattern in the Investigations tab, paying attention to the colored marker’s position.
Direct solution: Rotate the three rings at each station to match the pattern shown in that room, then validate. The stations and marker positions are:
- Treatment Room (blue): marker at the top.
- Priest’s Room off the Chapel (yellow): marker at the lower left.
- Manipulations Room east of Maintenance (pink): marker at the lower right.
Wireless Room brain machine
Clue-first hint: Speak to all three brains before using the machine. The clues are associated with Old Man’s Mask, the Therapeutic Garden and Medical Records.
Direct answer: Enter 13, 05, 36, in that order.
Hospital storage padlock
Clue-first hint: Gather the notes that reveal the four digits; together they provide 0, 1, 3 and 8.

Buoy locker / Ezekiel puzzle
Clue-first hint: Use the evidence titled “About Ezekiel” and “From Ezekiel’s Wife” to determine the symbol sequence. Keep the icon labels consistent with the guide wording; another guide labels the symbols differently.
Direct answer: Enter Lighthouse, Ropes, Starfish, Octopus, in that order. The listed reward is an SMG upgrade.
Memory safe
Clue-first hint: Return the Antikythera to Ma, then enter the memory using the Memory Relic. Listen to the phantoms for the code.
Direct answer: Enter 6294. The listed result is a Heart of Stone/Leyden Jar story item.
Strange Statue in the Abandoned Office
Clue-first hint: Put the Heart of Stone into the statue, then shoot the figures and symbols in the order of the sequence.
Direct solution: Shoot Kneeling Woman, Octopus, Sea Creature, Time, Jar, in that order. A separate guide labels these as kneeling person, octopus, Deep One, hourglass and Leyden Jar; these are alternate descriptions of the same sequence. Do not confuse this Heart of Stone puzzle with the separate Frozen Statue sequence involving the Heart of Ice.
Sixteen Punishments door and Locker Room safe
Clue-first hint: The door uses Roman numerals, and the ninth punishment—not the eleventh—is part of the sequence.

Direct solution: Press I, IV, IX and XVI in any order, then hold to confirm. For the related Locker Room safe, enter 1496.
Chapter 5 — Portal Room
Portal device
Clue-first hint: Search north of the Portal Room, cross the bridge and get past the fight to find the Engraved Pod. The patterns around the central device show how its parts should be set.
Direct solution: Mount the Engraved Pod on the central device in the Portal Room. Rotate the sides, top and bottom until their patterns match the surrounding patterns.
