For smoother play, choose Performance mode on a base PS5, check which graphics modes are available on your Xbox, or tune PC settings one at a time while testing the same scene. Ubisoft’s published PC targets give a useful starting point, but neither those targets nor console mode figures guarantee a particular frame rate on every system.
Choose the right mode on PlayStation 5
On a base PS5, choose Performance if smoother motion matters more than maximum resolution. Ubisoft lists a 60 FPS target for that mode, with an average 1425p render resolution during missions before upscaling. Choose Quality if you prefer higher resolution and are comfortable with the 30 FPS target at 2160p. These are specifications in Ubisoft’s November 7, 2024 announcement, not independent measurements of the current game on every setup. Ubisoft’s PS5 Pro announcement.

PS5 Pro
Ubisoft says the PS5 Pro configuration combines quality and performance features for a 60 FPS experience. It describes a PSSR-enhanced, 4K-like output and an average 1696p render resolution during missions before upscaling, with added visual detail. These figures are also from the November 7, 2024 announcement.

A launch-era guide from Pure Xbox, published September 12, 2023, reported that Xbox Series X had a 60 FPS Performance mode at lower resolution and a 30 FPS Quality mode at higher resolution. It reported one 30 FPS mode on Series S. Treat those as launch-era details, not confirmation of the current patched game: Ubisoft’s July 2, 2025 Season 7 notes discuss HDR/SDR menu calibration but do not confirm Xbox performance modes. Check the game’s current Video or Graphics menu for the options shown on your console. Pure Xbox’s launch mode guide and Ubisoft’s Season 7 patch notes.

Compare your PC with Ubisoft’s targets
Ubisoft publishes PC requirements by resolution, frame-rate target and graphics preset. Use them to pick a starting point, not as a promise that your PC will hold the listed frame rate in every scene. Laptop power limits, drivers, background processes, patches and individual scenes can affect results.
| Ubisoft tier | Target | Processor examples | Graphics card examples | Memory |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | 1920×1080, 30 FPS, Low | Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-4460 | RX 480 8 GB or GTX 1060 6 GB | 8 GB dual-channel |
| Recommended | 1920×1080, 60 FPS, High | Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 7 2700X | RTX 2060 6 GB or RX 5700 XT 8 GB | 8 GB dual-channel |
| Higher tier | 2560×1440, 60 FPS, High | Core i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 3070 8 GB or RX 6700 XT 12 GB | 16 GB dual-channel |
| Ultra tier | 3840×2160, 60 FPS, Ultra | Core i5-11600K or Ryzen 5 3600X | RTX 3090 24 GB or RX 7900 XT 20 GB | 16 GB dual-channel |
These are Ubisoft’s published targets on its The Crew Motorfest product page, originally associated with the 2023 release and accessed October 7, 2026. The minimum listing specifies Windows 10 64-bit and 40 GB storage, with an SSD recommended; Ubisoft does not identify the SSD recommendation as a frame-rate fix. If your hardware is below the tier for your chosen resolution, reducing workload may help, but it cannot ensure that the system will reach the target.

Tune PC graphics settings methodically
Ubisoft’s official materials do not provide current, setting-by-setting PC benchmarks, and there is no established FPS gain for a particular toggle. Treat adjustments as troubleshooting, not guaranteed optimizations:
- Record a baseline. Note the resolution, preset, frame-rate cap and frame-rate reading in a repeatable game scene.
- Reduce workload. If performance is below your goal, try lowering render resolution or resolution scale, then change one visual setting at a time. This is general troubleshooting logic, not a tested ranking of Motorfest settings.
- Retest the same scene. Keep conditions as similar as possible. If the change does not improve frame rate, revert it and try another setting; decide whether any improvement is worth the image-quality trade-off.
- Compare with the relevant tier. If your PC is well below Ubisoft’s target for the selected resolution, settings changes may reduce the load but are not a guarantee of the published target.
Ubisoft’s Season 5 notes say rear-view mirrors were added on PC and can be toggled in Quality settings. The notes also describe changes to shadows, reflections and volumetric cloud rendering, but do not quantify their frame-rate effects. You can include the mirror option in your one-change-at-a-time comparisons without assuming that disabling it will deliver a specific gain. Ubisoft’s Season 5 patch notes.
