What a soft launch means—and why availability changes
A soft launch is a limited-market release that lets a developer assess player response, including paying behavior, and use feedback and other metrics to change the game before a broader launch. It is not a promise that the game will reach every country or remain available in the markets where it first appeared.

Start with the play pattern you want: multiplayer action or party competition, a story-led match-3, a merge puzzle, football PvP, a runner, tower defense or a cozy cooking game. Then use the platform and country columns to narrow the list, remembering that the reported markets do not establish access in every region or on every device.

Different reporting dates and definitions can produce conflicting status signals. Mobilegamer.biz recently reported that Overwatch Rush entered soft launch in the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia for iOS and Android, while a July PocketGamer.biz list recorded it as unavailable for download as of April 2026. The later report is more recent, but neither removes the need to check the current store listing.

The October 4 Scaling Games tracker includes Minecraft Blast in Canada and Malaysia, while Mobilegamer.biz says it appeared removed from stores. Treat its status as uncertain until an official listing is visible. Mobilegamer.biz also reports early-access rollouts for Plants vs. Zombies 3: Evolved on iOS and Android, and Hill Climb Racing 3 on Google Play in the UK, Norway, Sweden and Finland; these reports are separate from the Pocket Gamer shortlist above.
