In a downtown rush-hour video, Tesla owner and reviewer Matt, who posts as FrunkToTrunk, said FSD (Supervised) version 14.3.10 handled stop-and-go traffic, split lanes, sudden braking, late cut-ins and a difficult merge without trying to push ahead. He described the system as patient—but this was one owner’s account, not a measured test or proof of a general improvement.
What happened in the downtown drive?
The Cool Down’s October 3, 2026 report describes Matt’s video of FSD 14.3.10 in downtown traffic. The situations he highlighted included stop-and-go conditions, split lanes, sudden braking and vehicles cutting in late. Matt also said the car negotiated a merge that had given it trouble in earlier tests. The report does not provide a complete route record or a reproducible test protocol.
Matt’s positive impression centered on how the car behaved around other drivers. Reacting to the drive, he said: “Not too shabby. The cool thing that you might have not noticed is how patient the self-driving is. It did not try to cut the line. It let cars in. Not too bad.” That is his characterization of this drive, rather than a standardized measure of courtesy or performance. The Cool Down’s report reproduces his comments and describes the scenarios.
What the video does—and does not—establish
The report gives no count of successful merges, driver interventions or disengagements, and no route length or comparative performance data. It identifies one owner-reviewer’s drive, but does not establish how often FSD 14.3.10 behaves this way in downtown rush hour or whether it is an improvement over earlier versions. There is no official Tesla comment on this particular drive.

Other owner accounts point to less satisfying behavior. In an October 2, 2026 Reddit discussion, users complained about repeated or unnecessary lane changes in Hurry mode on version 14.3.10. Those posts are personal reports, not a representative survey, and they do not show how common the behavior is. They do, however, illustrate why one favorable drive cannot settle how the mode performs for other drivers. Read the owner discussion.
Hurry mode is still supervised driver assistance
Tesla describes FSD (Supervised) as a driver-assistance system, not autonomous driving. Its Canada support page says the features can include lane changes, selecting navigation forks, navigating around vehicles and objects, and making turns. Tesla also says the available features depend on vehicle configuration, hardware, software version, region, model, trim and model year.

The driver must remain attentive and responsible for speed and control. Tesla’s guidance is explicit: “None of these advanced driver assistance features make your Tesla vehicle fully autonomous or replace you as the driver.” The video’s “patient” behavior should therefore be understood as an observation about one supervised drive, not permission to stop monitoring the road. Tesla’s FSD (Supervised) support page sets out the system’s scope and driver responsibilities.
