Neither Temok nor IONOS is a proven universal winner. On the US pages reviewed, IONOS makes its shared-hosting tiers and introductory and renewal prices easier to compare. Temok advertises a wider service range that includes managed VPS, managed cloud, and dedicated servers. Choose by the specific plan, total cost after promotions, and level of server control you need—not by an unverified claim of better speed or reliability.
This is a comparison of provider-published information, not a hands-on review: no accounts were purchased, migrated, benchmarked, or monitored. Prices and features below come from official US pages reviewed on October 7, 2026; offers and plan details can change, so confirm them at checkout. They should not be assumed to apply in other countries.

How do the US shared-hosting plans compare?
IONOS presents four tiers with monthly introductory and post-introductory prices for a one-year term. Temok lists three tiers with annual prices. Because billing periods and listed inclusions differ, the lowest displayed price alone is not a like-for-like comparison.

| Provider and plan | Listed price | Listed resources and features |
|---|---|---|
| IONOS Essential | $4/month introductory; $8/month thereafter, on a one-year term | 100 GB NVMe SSD storage; one email account; SSL; 24/7 support |
| IONOS Starter | $6/month introductory; $10/month thereafter, on a one-year term | 200 GB NVMe SSD storage; two email accounts; SSL; 24/7 support |
| IONOS Plus | $1/month introductory; $14/month thereafter, on a one-year term | 350 GB NVMe SSD storage; four email accounts; SSL; 24/7 support |
| IONOS Ultimate | $10/month introductory; $18/month thereafter, on a one-year term | 500 GB NVMe SSD storage; five email accounts; SSL; 24/7 support |
| Temok Baby | $7.90/year | 1 GB storage; one hosted website; free SSL; cPanel; 24/7 technical support |
| Temok Turbo | $28.56/year | One website; unlimited storage and bandwidth; two add-on domains; unlimited email |
| Temok Business | $38.08/year | Unlimited websites, storage, bandwidth, and add-on domains |
IONOS lists a 99.99% uptime guarantee for all four tiers. Temok lists a 99% uptime guarantee for Baby; the reviewed listing does not establish the same figure for Turbo or Business. Both figures are provider-advertised guarantees, not results of independent monitoring.
IONOS’s listed post-introductory monthly rates make renewal cost important when comparing its offer. Temok’s annual storefront prices are strikingly low, but the tiers have different listed resource limits and the annual billing format is not equivalent to IONOS’s monthly prices on a one-year term. Check the full checkout total, renewal rate, term, and cancellation conditions for the exact plan; the reviewed pages do not establish all of those terms for every tier.
Which provider offers the hosting type you need?
Choose a shared plan for a straightforward website
IONOS describes shared hosting as websites using shared server CPU resources. Its guidance suggests an entry plan for a simple, mostly static site and higher tiers for dynamic projects or heavier traffic. Temok’s storefront also lists shared plans, but the storage and site limits vary by tier. Before ordering either, match the plan’s actual resource limits to your site’s needs rather than relying on a broad “unlimited” label.

Consider managed hosting if you want provider administration
Temok advertises managed VPS and managed cloud alongside shared hosting and dedicated servers. It says its managed VPS service includes setup, software installation, security monitoring, and technical support; its managed-cloud page promotes migration assistance and WordPress and Magento hosting. These are Temok’s descriptions, and the included work should be confirmed for the selected plan.

Check root access and upgrade paths
IONOS says VPS, dedicated, and cloud server customers can have root access, while its regular web hosting does not provide it. Temok advertises managed VPS, cloud, and dedicated options, but its broad service pages do not establish the precise control or inclusions of every plan. If you need root access or managed administration, verify the plan’s control model and what the provider will manage before choosing.
What do the uptime and infrastructure claims establish?
IONOS’s 99.99% shared-hosting guarantee and Temok’s 99% Baby-plan guarantee are not a head-to-head reliability test. A guarantee is not proof that a particular site will experience that uptime, and neither reviewed provider page establishes that one host is faster in real use.
IONOS Group SE’s 2025 Sustainability Report describes “over one million processor cores in 29 data centers, including 9 owned data centers.” This is group-level context, not a map of the infrastructure serving a particular shared-hosting account or evidence of faster performance. Temok’s corporate site claims more than 35 global data centers for managed cloud and 20 locations for dedicated servers; those vendor claims were not independently verified and do not establish the locations available to the shared plans listed above.

To compare performance meaningfully, a separate test would need matched plans, regions, workloads, and a stated monitoring period. No such test is available here, so speed and real-world reliability remain unranked.
What should you verify before ordering?
- Total cost: Confirm the introductory offer, renewal price, billing interval, term, taxes, and cancellation rules for the exact plan.
- Capacity: Check storage, websites, bandwidth, email, and any resource limits that matter to your workload. Treat “unlimited” as a plan claim and review its terms.
- Included services: Verify SSL, backups, migration help, support scope, and whether administration is managed or self-managed; the listed plan summaries do not establish every inclusion.
- Location and control: Confirm the data-center location available for your chosen plan and whether you need root access.
- Scaling: Identify the specific next plan or hosting type you would move to if shared hosting no longer fits.
Verdict: which web host wins?
For a reader choosing among straightforward US shared plans, IONOS is easier to evaluate from the reviewed page because it lays out four tiers, storage, email counts, and both introductory and post-introductory monthly prices. Temok is a better fit to investigate if you want to compare shared hosting with its advertised managed VPS, managed cloud, or dedicated services. The choice should turn on your exact requirements and verified checkout terms—not on a performance or support winner that these sources do not establish.
