Temari Trials: Dojo’s Test is a single-player logic puzzle built around pushing balls into locked chests. Its central twist is that balls slide and can push one another, turning each stage into a problem of sequence and direction. Nintendo’s UK listing describes 30 handcrafted stages; reviewer Dave Ozzy found the mix appealing but short and not especially difficult.
How Temari Trials: Dojo’s Test works
You guide a fox as it pushes temari balls toward locked chests. Nintendo’s UK Switch listing says every hit removes a lock and that balls can push one another. Chests take one to three hits, so you must work out which ball to move, from which direction, and in what order. The listing describes 30 handcrafted single-player stages.

In TheXboxHub’s review, Dave Ozzy adds that balls slide until they meet a wall, a goal, or another ball. Later stages introduce redirect tiles, and some shielded chests require two balls. These mechanics make the board itself part of the puzzle: a push can position a ball for a chest, block another ball, or change where it will stop.

What the review says about the puzzles
Ozzy’s October 5, 2026 review scored the game 3.5/5. He praised its blend of sliding puzzles and Sokoban-style pushing, the snooker-like interactions between balls, and the gradual introduction of new mechanics. He also noted undo and retry options, which help when a move goes wrong.
#1 Best Overall
- Ferocious Competition - At the heart of Puyo Puyo Tetris is the fighting spirit of players competing against each other to be most clever, cunning, and quick-witted one to set up devastating attacks on opponents. It's the classic easy-to-learn puzzles mashed up into a multiplayer battle like no other!
- Adventure Mode - The game also has a single player mode with ten unique acts, eatch with ten stages. They feature different characters from the Puyo Puyo or Tetris universes and have unique challenges to learn and master game mechanics that players must overcome!
- Arcade Modes - Online play has Puzzle League, which tracks players' ratings, players can save replays to upload and share, and more.
- There's also an in-game shop players can use their points to unlock different Puyo and Tetrimino skins, background music, stages, and more.
His reservations were that some layouts feel familiar, the game is short, and its challenge is not especially high. That is one critic’s assessment, not a consensus score or a measured playtime estimate; the available sources do not establish a completion-time figure.
