There is no independently verified, apples-to-apples ranking behind the leading 2026 telemedicine development lists. The eight firms below are candidates to investigate, not a proven league table: their reported strengths vary, and buyers should validate comparable product work, security responsibilities, integrations, references, and delivery assumptions before choosing.

How to read this shortlist

The selection draws on two vendor-authored 2026 comparisons, alongside company-discovery directories. Trembit says its comparison covers a subset and verifies non-publisher entries against company sites as of July 2026; it does not rank the firms. Orangesoft’s comparison describes its criteria and includes Orangesoft itself. Neither establishes an independent, consistently scored top eight. The order below is for navigation, not a ranking.

Profiles summarize claims made in those sources, not independent audits. A vendor’s healthcare experience, certification, or compliance statement does not by itself establish that the proposed team, product, or project meets your requirements.

Eight telemedicine development firms to investigate

Trembit

Trembit’s comparison presents the firm as a WebRTC and real-time video and voice specialist. It says the company built a WebRTC interpreting engine for Martti that is used across more than 4,000 US healthcare facilities. This is a vendor-published proof point, not an independent audit. The same page lists compliance claims; ask for current documentation and the precise scope relevant to your project.

  • Early Detection: Regular self-examination using a smart otoscope can help individuals detect early signs of infections, inflammation, or other abnormalities in the ears, nose, or throat.
  • Cost Savings: By reducing the need for frequent doctor's visits for minor issues, individuals can save on healthcare costs.

ScienceSoft

The comparison describes ScienceSoft as a broad IT consulting and custom software firm with a dedicated Healthcare IT practice. It names bioAffinity Technologies and S.A.E. Orthopedics case studies and describes company-level ISO certifications, while addressing HIPAA at the project level. A company-level certification should not be treated as proof that a particular product or engagement is HIPAA compliant.

DataArt

The sources describe DataArt as a diversified software engineering firm with a Healthcare & Life Sciences practice and medical-device software work. Orangesoft’s comparison also cites telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and virtual clinical trial work. Ask which team would deliver your product and for references involving a similar scope.

Glorium Technologies

Trembit’s comparison describes Glorium Technologies as a healthcare and real-estate software provider with telemedicine and EHR/EMR work. Its certification and directory-rating details in that comparison are self-reported or attributed to the source. Confirm current certification scope and the entity that holds each credential.

Cleveroad

The comparison presents Cleveroad as a custom mobile and healthcare software firm offering EHR/EMR, telemedicine, and remote patient monitoring work. It reports ISO certifications and explicitly says the firm does not claim HIPAA. Ask what safeguards and contractual arrangements would apply to your project and jurisdiction rather than inferring compliance from unrelated credentials.

Appinventiv

Trembit’s comparison presents Appinventiv as a mobile and digital product development company with telemedicine and EHR work, and lists multiple compliance and security claims. Before relying on them, verify the exact legal entity, certificate scope and dates, and whether the proposed delivery team is covered.

Orangesoft

Orangesoft’s comparison describes mobile development across telemedicine, medical devices, and wearables, and cites a stroke-patient telemedicine software case study. Its own list says it has completed more than 300 web and mobile projects and discusses regulatory support. These are vendor claims; check relevant references and establish who is responsible for regulatory work.

Mindbowser

Trembit’s comparison presents Mindbowser as a HealthTech consulting studio with digital health accelerators, EHR integration, and HIPAA/FHIR-trained staff. The figures and delivery claims are self-reported in that comparison. Request named references relevant to your use case and details about the people who would work on the project.

Compare candidates against your product requirements

Before requesting proposals, write down the product’s core workflows and the systems it must connect to. A video consultation platform, asynchronous messaging service, scheduling system, prescribing workflow, remote patient monitoring solution, and patient or provider portal create different delivery and integration demands. A prototype or generic healthcare project is not equivalent to a production product with similar workflows.

  1. Ask for comparable delivery evidence. Request a live or referenceable product with workflows like yours. Clarify what the firm built, what it inherited, whether it reached production, and what support it provides now.
  2. Get a written security and compliance responsibility matrix. Identify the legal entity holding each certification, its scope and date, the obligations assigned to the vendor and healthcare client, and the contractual and operational safeguards included. Distinguish company credentials from project-specific controls and responsibilities.
  3. Test integration fit against your actual stack. Name the EHR/EMR systems, interfaces, and data flows the project needs. Ask for evidence of comparable integrations; broad healthcare experience does not prove delivery against your systems.
  4. Compare the full delivery and support model. Confirm who handles discovery, product design, engineering, testing, launch, ongoing support, and maintenance. Ask how the team’s capabilities match the technical scope and how responsibility changes after launch.
  5. Check references and directory evidence critically. GoodFirms says its comparisons consider reviews, portfolios, expertise, capabilities, specialization, market presence, and verification; it also says sponsored listings pay for premium placement. Clutch describes interview-based reviews and discloses fees for some placements. Ratings and featured positions can help build a shortlist, but they do not establish clinical or technical fit.
  6. Request a scoped estimate with assumptions. Have each firm itemize integrations, security and regulatory work, launch scope, and ongoing operations. Compare estimates only after aligning assumptions and deliverables.

What the published numbers do—and do not—tell you

Directory and vendor-page figures can provide context, but they are not interchangeable evidence of an individual firm’s fit or an industry-wide benchmark.

Figure What the source says How to interpret it
More than 4,000 US healthcare facilities Trembit’s 2026 comparison says the Martti interpreting engine it built is used across this many facilities. A vendor-published reach claim for a specific interpreting engine, not an independent audit or a measure of every Trembit project.
521 companies across 57 countries GoodFirms’ September 2026 telemedicine-app-development page. A directory-category count, not a vetted count of firms suitable for a particular project.
$37 median hourly rate; 4.9 median client rating; 22% with teams of 50+ GoodFirms’ September 2026 directory-category figures. Category-level figures, not a quote, rating, or staffing guarantee for any shortlisted company.
15 companies Orangesoft’s 2026 page says it curated this many firms. The size of that vendor-authored list, not independent proof of a top-eight order.
$75,000–$150,000 and 3–6 months Orangesoft’s 2026 page estimates this cost and duration for an MVP, depending on EHR integration and compliance work. A vendor-published estimate, not an independently established market average or a project quote.

Set a realistic budget and timeline

Use the published MVP estimate only as an initial reference point: Orangesoft’s 2026 page gives $75,000–$150,000 and 3–6 months, with EHR integration and compliance work affecting the estimate. It is not a market benchmark. Your proposal should make scope, dependencies, exclusions, security and regulatory responsibilities, and post-launch support explicit so you can compare like with like.

Build a shortlist, not a league table

Trembit’s comparison also names Itransition and Inoxoft, which may be alternatives when widening the search. The eight firms above are an editorial selection from the cited 2026 comparisons, not a claim that these are the only suitable companies or that they outperform every alternative. Choose by demonstrated fit for your product, integrations, compliance responsibilities, references, and delivery plan—not by a list position or star rating.
