A brief loading screen can be Target’s automated traffic check, not an account problem. For sign-in trouble, browser cookies and JavaScript settings may matter; for a Drive Up or Order Pickup “Oops” error, check whether your account has a last name.
These steps apply to Target’s U.S. app and related Target.com sign-in and order flows. Target’s guidance does not establish a current systemwide outage or one universal fix for every device.

1. Wait briefly if you see “Still loading…”
Target says this message may appear while it checks that browsing activity is from a real guest rather than automated traffic. In most cases, the page continues after a few seconds. You do not need to solve a puzzle or enter a code for this check. Target notes, “This does not mean there’s a problem with your Target account,” referring to this verification check—not to every possible app error. Target Mobile & app support
2. Refresh or restart the app or browser
If the screen stays stuck or “Something went wrong” appears, refresh the page. In the app, close and reopen it. Target also recommends waiting a few minutes or trying another device. Target Mobile & app support

3. Update the app, then force stop it
Check the Target app version in your device’s app settings and compare it with the latest version listed in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Install an update if one is available. If the problem persists, force stop the app and reopen it. Target app troubleshooting
4. Try a different network or device
Switch from Wi-Fi to cellular, or try a home network instead of work, school, or public Wi-Fi. A VPN, privacy or ad-blocking software, network proxy, or some networks can interfere with Target’s checks. 5. Fix browser settings if you cannot sign in
Target’s sign-in troubleshooting points to browser history, cookies, and JavaScript. Follow the device-specific steps below, then relaunch Safari and the Target app on iOS.

- Clear your browser history.
- Confirm that cookies are accepted and JavaScript is enabled.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings > Safari.
- Clear history and website data.
- Make sure Block All Cookies is off and JavaScript is enabled.
- Relaunch Safari and the Target app.

6. Reset your password if the account is locked
Too many unsuccessful sign-in attempts can lock a Target account. Use Target’s password reset flow instead of continuing to guess. The reset email contains a six-digit code that expires after 12 hours; check your spam or junk folder if it does not arrive. For a locked account, Target lists Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869. 7. Check your account name if pickup checkout shows “Oops”
For an “Oops” error during Drive Up or Order Pickup checkout, Target says a missing last name may be the cause. Check your account details and add or update the name if it is incomplete. Target app troubleshooting
If you are using the app in a Target store
Target recommends accepting the Guest Wi-Fi terms and reconnecting to Target Guest Wi-Fi. If you have a good cellular signal, you can turn off Wi-Fi and use cellular instead; your carrier’s data rates may apply. Target app troubleshooting
