As of October 4, 2026, the iPhone 18 Pro is the only one of these phones with a documented T-Mobile offer; the iPhone Duo is not yet available to buy. Apple says Duo preorder begins October 16, with availability starting October 23. So the Pro is the clearer value for an eligible buyer who wants its conventional design and camera. If Duo’s foldable screen is the reason you’re shopping, wait for its price and T-Mobile terms before deciding.
What can you buy from T-Mobile now?
T-Mobile lists the iPhone 18 Pro 256GB at $1,199.99 before credits and advertises up to $1,000 off without a trade-in. That is a conditional promotion, not a guaranteed price for every customer. The offer requires qualifying credit and service, a qualifying plan costing at least $100 per month with AutoPay, a new line, and a port-in from an eligible carrier. Taxes and fees are extra. T-Mobile also charges a $35 device connection fee at sale, and assesses tax on the pre-credit price. Check T-Mobile’s current offer and terms before ordering; the promotion is limited-time and may change.

The discount is delivered as up to 36 monthly bill credits. The qualifying line must remain active and in good standing. If you cancel the full account before all credits arrive, the credits stop and the remaining device-finance balance becomes due. Paying off the device early also ends the credits. The advertised maximum therefore depends on both eligibility and keeping the account and financing arrangement for the credit period.

What is known about the iPhone Duo?
Apple’s stated schedule is preorder at 5:00 a.m. PT on October 16, 2026, with availability beginning October 23. The Apple comparison page lists the models, but its price fields do not provide a usable Duo price. T-Mobile’s offers page likewise does not establish a Duo promotion. That means there is no supported like-for-like T-Mobile price comparison yet: the Duo’s net cost, monthly payment, and any carrier savings cannot be calculated from the available offer details.
#1 Best Overall
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- When you receive the phone, insert a SIM card from a compatible carrier. Then, turn it on, connect to Wi-Fi, and follow the on screen prompts to activate service.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charger and charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
T-Mobile describes Duo as a foldable phone with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, powered by A20 Pro and iOS 27. It describes iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max as powered by A20 Pro and highlights the Pro’s 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture. These specifications point to different reasons to buy: Duo’s larger unfolded screen for viewing, gaming, and multitasking, or the Pro’s camera-focused conventional phone design. They do not establish which has better camera results, battery life, performance, or durability. See T-Mobile’s announcement of the models and features.
Which is the better value for you?
Choose iPhone 18 Pro if the current offer fits your situation
The Pro is the practical choice if you want a conventional phone with the camera features T-Mobile highlights, qualify for the new-line and port-in promotion, and expect to keep the qualifying line without paying off the device early for the full credit period. Calculate your actual cost using the credits you qualify for—not the advertised maximum—and include the required plan, taxes, connection fee, and any financing balance you may owe if you leave early.

Wait for iPhone Duo if the foldable screen is the point
If you specifically want a foldable, buying the Pro because its discount looks large could leave you with the wrong kind of phone. Apple’s announced dates give you a near-term point to reassess: preorder starts October 16, and availability begins October 23. Compare the Duo’s actual storage-matched price and any T-Mobile terms once they are published; do not count an assumed trade-in value or an unconfirmed carrier discount.
How to make a fair comparison when Duo pricing appears
- Match storage. Compare the same capacity and use a live purchase price rather than an estimate.
- Use your own eligibility. Confirm the plan, credit approval, new-line requirement, eligible-carrier port-in, and offer combination rules that apply to your account.
- Count the full cost. Include required service, taxes on the pre-credit price, the connection fee, and only the bill credits you can actually receive.
- Account for time. Decide whether you can keep the qualifying line active and avoid early payoff for the full credit period.
- Price the feature you will use. Weigh Duo’s foldable display and multitasking against the Pro’s camera and standard phone form factor; the specifications alone do not establish test performance.
Because T-Mobile calls its Pro offer limited-time and subject to change, verify its terms again when Duo preorder opens and when sales begin. Apple’s announcement gives the Duo preorder and availability dates.
