What is included in the dock-only price?
Nintendo’s standard and OLED dock-only listings say the AC adapter and HDMI cable are not included. If you do not already own compatible accessories, account for them when comparing the cost of a replacement or second-TV setup. The dock-only item is not a complete TV-mode setup by itself.

Which Switch dock should you buy?
Nintendo identifies the standard dock as model HAC-007 and the LAN-port dock as HEG-007. The HEG-007 is the dock included with standard OLED Model bundles. Their port layouts differ:

Nintendo says standard Switch and Switch OLED systems running system software version 11.0.0 or later are compatible with the LAN-port dock. Check your system’s software version and console model before choosing a replacement. Nintendo Switch Lite does not support TV mode and is not compatible with any dock, as explained in Nintendo Support’s compatibility guidance.

What to check before replacing a dock
- Confirm whether your console is a standard Switch or Switch OLED; Switch Lite cannot connect to a TV through a dock.
- Choose between HAC-007 and HEG-007 based on whether you need a built-in LAN port and how many USB ports you want.
- Check the current US price and stock on Nintendo’s store listing rather than relying on an old price.
- Verify whether you already have an AC adapter and HDMI cable, since the dock-only listings do not include them.
- If considering a third-party replacement, confirm the exact model, compatibility, and listing contents; do not assume it is an official Nintendo product.
Can Nintendo repair a damaged dock?
Nintendo Support says it can offer service only for accessories made by Nintendo, and physically damaged accessories are not covered by Nintendo’s warranty and need to be purchased as replacements.
