What the SR7001 offers
Sunbeam’s guide names this model the “Solus® PerfectTemp™ Digital Resilium® Shot & Spray Iron with Safety Auto-Off.” It lists a 2400 W element, 300 ml water tank, digital thermostat, LCD fabric-setting display, variable steam dial, dry setting, spray mist, shot of steam, anti-calc cartridge and a Resilium soleplate with 172 steam holes. What voltage is the SR7001 iron?
The user guide specifies use with a 230/240 V power outlet. This is not a universal-voltage rating. Before purchase, confirm that the exact unit’s plug and electrical configuration match the supply where you plan to use it; the guide alone does not establish compatibility with other markets.

Does the SR7001 have automatic shutoff?
Yes. According to the guide, the iron shuts off after 30 seconds when left in the horizontal ironing position or after 15 minutes resting on its heel. The temperature alert light is green when ready, orange while heating, and red while cooling after a higher setting. Sunbeam SR7001 user guide (2014).
How much water does the Sunbeam SR7001 hold?
The manufacturer specifies a 300 ml tank. For steam ironing, the guide says to use the steam setting at the silk temperature or above and keep at least a quarter tank of water in the iron. For the shot-of-steam function, set the temperature above the two-dot setting. If the tank runs dry, the pump may need priming before steam returns.

Can you use tap water in the SR7001?
Yes. The manual says tap water is acceptable, while recommending distilled or demineralised water in very hard-water areas. It also says not to put fabric conditioner, starch or other solutions in the tank. The guide mentions Sunbeam demineralised water as a replacement option; current availability is not established. Care and safety considerations
The guide describes anti-calc design, but it does not establish current replacement-cartridge availability. Do not assume that a replacement cartridge or other spare part is available for your particular unit.

- Unplug the iron before filling or emptying the tank.
- Use and rest it on a stable surface, and keep the hot iron out of children’s reach.
- Let it cool completely before storing; the guide estimates cooling takes approximately 30 minutes.
- Do not wind the cord around the hot soleplate.

Whether it suits you depends first on compatible voltage and plug, then on whether its capacity and controls meet your needs.
