How many bitcoin does Strive hold?
Strive reported holding 29,462 BTC on October 2, up from 27,462 BTC on September 25. That dated balance is distinct from the company’s September 30 quarter-end snapshot: the filing gives 28,000 BTC for that date, at an average acquisition cost of $90,170 per bitcoin.
The September 30 figures are preliminary and unaudited. Strive said its quarter-close procedures were incomplete and the estimates could change. The filing also says the company acquired 8,137 BTC in the third quarter at an average cost of $78,885; those, too, are preliminary company-reported figures rather than final audited results.

What else was in Strive’s September 30 treasury snapshot?
Alongside the 28,000 BTC, Strive reported $284.7 million in cash and cash equivalents and a $50.2 million fair value for its Strategy, Inc. STRC stock position as of September 30. These are preliminary quarter-end figures, not the October 2 bitcoin balance.
How did Strive fund the purchase?
The Block reported on October 5 that this was Strive’s largest bitcoin purchase since June. It attributed to CEO Matt Cole the statement that 61.5% of capital raised came from SATA and that warrant exercises produced $56.7 million. That breakdown is secondary reporting; the reviewed passages of Strive’s SEC filing establish the purchase and holdings, not that funding mix.

What is Strive’s stated bitcoin strategy?
Strive describes bitcoin as its capital-deployment hurdle rate. The company presents SATA as a security designed to provide cash flows while allowing it to pursue a spread between SATA’s financing cost and bitcoin’s potential long-term return. This is Strive’s framing of its strategy, not evidence that the spread has been achieved.
Amplification Ratio objective
The October 5 filing says that while bitcoin is below $100,000, management’s current objective is to increase and maintain the Amplification Ratio above 60%. This is a conditional objective, not a reported achieved ratio. The filing also describes a SATA repurchase facility of up to $500 million; a facility is not the same as a completed repurchase.

Does owning Strive stock mean you own its bitcoin?
No. Strive says owning its securities does not give an investor ownership of, or a right to redeem, the company’s bitcoin. Company assets are also subject to liabilities and senior preferred claims. A bitcoin-per-share figure therefore does not establish that a shareholder has a direct claim on coins or has earned a particular investment return.
Strive also cautions that its Bitcoin Yield and Bitcoin Gain metrics are not traditional measures of financial performance, valuation, liquidity, or investment return. They should not be treated as substitutes for conventional financial results or as a statement of what a security holder has realized.
