StreamShark’s broader multistreaming information does not settle whether a Live Scheduler loop can be delivered to YouTube. Can it run a 24/7 YouTube stream?
The evidence supports a qualified answer: StreamShark documents 24/7 VOD looping, but its reviewed documentation does not confirm that this loop can be sent directly to YouTube Live. Until StreamShark demonstrates the intended workflow, do not assume that a scheduler output URL is interchangeable with a YouTube encoder connection or that a YouTube stream key can be entered directly into Live Scheduler.

YouTube’s standard encoder workflow uses a YouTube Live server URL and stream key. Ask StreamShark whether its supported setup requires a separate encoder or intermediary, whether YouTube Live is a supported destination for Live Scheduler specifically, and which account configuration is needed. Its multiplatform streaming FAQ is not sufficient confirmation for this particular scheduler workflow.
Access requirements and current pricing
StreamShark’s support article says Live Scheduler is currently available to customers on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached and advises contacting an account manager or sales representative about access or a trial. Meanwhile, the current pricing page lists Live Scheduler in its Enterprise features table. These statements do not make the eligibility and plan requirements fully clear, so request a current written quote that specifies the required plan and server configuration.

Questions to settle before purchase
- Have StreamShark show the complete YouTube path. Ask for a demonstration from a Live Scheduler loop to a YouTube Live event. Confirm whether YouTube receives it directly or through another encoder or service, and whether the YouTube stream key is part of the scheduler setup.
- Get eligibility and total cost in writing. Confirm whether Live Scheduler requires Enterprise, a Dedicated Server, or both; the included transfer for the quoted configuration; the rate for overages; and any setup or additional infrastructure charges.
- Check content preparation and timing. StreamShark’s instructions require active VOD assets prepared for the Live Scheduler profile. The vendor advises sending larger uploads well in advance to allow processing, so establish the preparation timeline for your library before scheduling a launch.
- Agree on recovery and operator responsibilities. Ask what happens if the schedule, delivery feed, or YouTube event stops, whether recovery is automatic, and what monitoring or intervention your team must provide. The reviewed materials do not establish uptime or recovery performance for this specific deployment.
- Decide how to keep a durable archive. A continuous YouTube broadcast has different archive and rewind constraints from a normal, shorter live event; make a separate recording and retention plan if preserving every hour matters.
YouTube archive and rewind limits matter for 24/7 use
YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube also warns that DVR rewind can be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. A single uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast therefore should not be treated as a guaranteed complete YouTube archive or as an event with unrestricted rewind.

If you need a durable copy, plan a separate local or VOD archive and verify the behavior for your exact setup. YouTube’s archive guidance recommends keeping a local archive as a backup. Another possibility is to operate in restarted segments, but confirm how that affects scheduling, viewers, and the desired archive workflow before relying on it.
YouTube channel prerequisites and content rights
- Live access: YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to live stream. Confirm eligibility in YouTube Studio before configuring the event.
- Copyright: Use video and audio you own or are licensed to broadcast on YouTube. A loop does not change the rights status of the underlying material; repeated unlicensed content can still create copyright claims or restrictions.
- Reused content and monetization: Permission to use content and eligibility for monetization are separate questions. A channel’s repeated prerecorded programming may be evaluated under YouTube’s applicable monetization policies; check current YouTube policy for the channel rather than assuming that a continuous stream qualifies.
- Event configuration: Follow YouTube’s current encoder setup for the event’s server URL and stream key. Treat the key as a credential: keep it private, use the intended key for the event, and replace it if exposed.
