Both support mobile broadcasting to YouTube, but their feature pages do not promise 24-hour operation or uninterrupted uptime. There is also a separate YouTube replay risk: YouTube says a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If your priority is keeping a prerecorded video live on YouTube without leaving a phone or computer running, StreamNeo is the purpose-built cloud option to consider first.
Streamlabs Mobile vs PRISM Live Studio at a glance
| What matters | Streamlabs Mobile | PRISM Live Studio Mobile |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube support | Documented for mobile broadcasting to YouTube. | YouTube is listed as a supported destination; YouTube’s encoder directory lists PRISM for iOS and Android. |
| Production features | Scenes, alerts, customization, and camera or mobile-game streaming. | Overlays and effects, plus support for multiple streaming protocols. |
| Multistreaming | One-platform streaming is available at no cost; simultaneous multistreaming is an Ultra feature. | Destination options include YouTube and other listed platforms, but the cited documentation does not establish plan-specific multistreaming terms. |
| Continuous 24/7 operation | The cited documentation does not guarantee unattended 24-hour operation or uptime. | The cited documentation does not guarantee unattended 24-hour operation or uptime. |
| YouTube replay for a stream over 12 hours | YouTube says a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all, including mobile streams. Switching between these apps does not remove that caveat. | |
Choose between the apps based on how you produce ordinary mobile broadcasts—not on an unverified assumption that either is more reliable for 24/7 use. Streamlabs documents scenes and alerts; PRISM documents overlays, effects, destinations, and protocols. Neither feature list is evidence of comparative stability.

What “24/7 streaming” means on YouTube
Staying live is different from saving a replay
A channel can aim to remain live continuously, but that does not mean YouTube will preserve the entire broadcast as a replay. Google/YouTube Help says, “If your live stream is less than 12 hours, YouTube can automatically archive it for you.” It also warns, “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” The wording is conditional: an archive for a stream under 12 hours is possible, while capture of a stream over 12 hours is not assured. YouTube says this applies to encoder, webcam, and mobile streams.
If keeping a complete recording matters, do not rely on a single stream longer than 12 hours as your only archive. Plan how you will preserve the source video or a local recording, and verify YouTube’s current behavior before relying on a particular schedule or restart strategy. Breaking a broadcast into shorter sessions may help with archive planning, but the cited guidance does not promise that every session will be captured.

Mobile livestream eligibility is a YouTube requirement
YouTube’s mobile live-stream help page lists these conditions: at least 50 subscribers, a verified channel, no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days, and live streaming enabled. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours. YouTube may also limit the mobile live audience for channels with fewer than 1,000 subscribers. These are YouTube rules, not requirements created by Streamlabs or PRISM; check YouTube Help for current eligibility and account-specific status.
When Streamlabs Mobile makes sense
Streamlabs is a reasonable feature match if your broadcast depends on mobile production tools. Its official pages describe Android and iOS use, camera and mobile-game streaming, scenes and alerts, and YouTube broadcasting. The product page describes one-platform streaming at no cost; simultaneous multistreaming is tied to Ultra. Check the current plan details before subscribing, since plan terms can change.

Those capabilities are useful for a creator actively managing a show from a phone. They do not establish that the app can be left unattended around the clock, recover from every interruption, or override YouTube’s archive limit.
When PRISM Live Studio makes sense
PRISM’s official mobile page lists YouTube and several other destinations, along with overlays and effects. Its FAQ lists RTMP, HLS (YouTube), WHIP (Twitch), SRT, and RIST; YouTube’s encoder directory also lists PRISM for iOS and Android. These are documented compatibility and production features, not endurance claims.

Consider PRISM if its overlays, effects, destination list, or protocol support better matches your mobile workflow. The cited pages do not establish 24/7 uptime, a 24-hour unattended mode, or protection from YouTube’s long-stream archive caveat.

Practical checks before a mobile broadcast
- Confirm that mobile live streaming is enabled on your YouTube channel and that it meets YouTube’s eligibility conditions.
- Test your intended video, audio, overlays, and alerts in a short private or unlisted broadcast before a public event.
- Plan for phone power, heat, network interruptions, and app or operating-system interruptions. A setup checklist can reduce avoidable failures, but does not guarantee 24-hour uptime.
- If you use an external encoder or a different streaming workflow, YouTube’s encoder guide explains selecting YouTube or entering the server URL and stream key. Switching workflows does not remove YouTube’s warning about archiving streams longer than 12 hours.
- Keep an independent copy of important source material or recordings if a replay is essential; YouTube recommends a local archive backup.
