To activate Straight Talk Home Internet, first confirm that the exact service address is eligible, then use Straight Talk’s Home Internet Router activation option and set up the router with the instructions included in its box. Availability is limited to select areas, and the service is tied to the address on your order.
1. Check whether service is available at your address
Enter the full street address where you intend to use the service on Straight Talk’s Home Internet page. Availability is checked at the address level, so a nearby home may have a different result. Confirm eligibility before ordering a plan or router.

2. Order the plan and required router
Straight Talk says its Home Internet plan works only with the Straight Talk Home Internet Router and Straight Talk-certified equipment; a generic router is not a substitute. Support lists router models FWF100V5L and FWA55V5L. Check that the device you have is compatible with the service.
On the provider’s page reviewed in 2026, standalone service was listed at $45 per month, with a one-time router cost of $69.99. Straight Talk also described a $10 monthly discount with a Gold or Platinum Unlimited mobile plan. These offers can change, so verify current price, eligibility, and bundle terms before buying.

3. Start the Home Internet activation flow
- Open Straight Talk’s Activate Your Wireless Service page.
- Choose the “HOME INTERNET ROUTER” option and select “ACTIVATE.”
- Follow the prompts shown for your router and account. The public activation page confirms this entry point but does not document every subsequent prompt, so use the live flow rather than assuming instructions for phone activation apply.
4. Set up the router using its included instructions
Straight Talk describes the setup as self-installation: “Once the router arrives in the mail, you plug it in and follow a few easy steps to connect to it (no installation appointment needed).” Follow the device-specific setup instructions included in the box, as required by the provider’s Home Internet Terms and Conditions. Use Straight Talk’s guidance for placement and do not relocate the installed unit without authorization.
5. Activate promptly and keep service at the registered address
Straight Talk advises setting up and activating the plan as soon as the router arrives so a reservation can be held. Some purchases or registrations may have a 30-day reservation. If you do not have a reservation, or it has expired, check availability for your address again before proceeding.

The service is for the address provided with the order. Contact Straight Talk before moving the service or changing the equipment location; authorization may be required. The terms also describe the service as residential and noncommercial and state that it does not support static IP addresses.

Straight Talk lists 20–200 Mbps download and 3–15 Mbps upload for Home Internet, and separately lists 20–50 Mbps download and 3–6 Mbps upload expectations in 4G LTE zones. These are provider-advertised ranges, not guarantees for an individual home: actual speeds and availability vary by address, signal strength, and network conditions.

If you rely on a live-TV streaming service, check with that provider before subscribing; Straight Talk warns that some live-TV services may not work with its Home Internet service.

Use Straight Talk’s Home Internet support portal for router-specific help. Straight Talk lists phone support at 1-877-430-2355. Have the router and account information available and follow the support representative’s direction rather than guessing at undocumented activation requirements.
