That ends the current connection, but it may not erase a saved pairing or stop the same device from reconnecting. The right way to unpair depends on the soundbar’s model, so check its model number before using button-specific instructions.
Disconnect the device that is streaming now
On the phone, tablet, or computer currently connected, open Bluetooth settings, select the Vizio soundbar, and choose the device’s disconnect option. Vizio’s SV200M-0805 manual documents this method for stopping its active stream. It also says that only one paired device can stream at a time on this model.

Switch the active stream on an SV200M-0805
If you have the SV200M-0805 and want another device to take over playback, Vizio’s manual says to hold the soundbar’s Bluetooth button for two seconds, release it, then connect the device that should stream. This switches the active streaming device on that model; it does not turn Bluetooth off or block a particular person.

Unpair your own phone on an SV210D-0806
The SV210D-0806 manual documents an Unpair Device action in Vizio Mobile. For an iPhone or iPad, it also instructs the user to unpair the soundbar from the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- In Vizio Mobile, use the Unpair Device action for the SV210D-0806.
- If you use iOS, open the device’s Bluetooth settings and unpair the soundbar there as well.
These steps remove the pairing for the device you control. They do not establish that another person’s phone has been unpaired or that future pairing is disabled. See the SV210D-0806 manual and Vizio’s Vizio Mobile device-control page for model and app information.

If the person reconnects
If you can access the phone or computer that keeps reconnecting, remove or forget the soundbar in that device’s Bluetooth settings. If you cannot access it, consult the manual for your exact soundbar model. The official instructions reviewed here do not establish a universal Bluetooth-off switch, named-device blocklist, or way to erase another person’s saved pairing across Vizio soundbars.
Find your Vizio soundbar model
Look for the model number on the soundbar’s product label, or check Vizio Mobile if the soundbar is available there. The instructions above apply only to the named models: the SV200M-0805 product page and SV210D-0806 product page identify those specific soundbars. Older models and other firmware may have different controls. Use the exact model’s manual to check whether it offers Bluetooth disabling, pairing reset, or paired-device removal.

What to avoid
- Do not assume that disconnecting playback deletes a saved pairing.
- Do not treat the SV200M-0805 Bluetooth-button procedure as a Bluetooth-off or person-blocking feature.
- Do not rely on Bluetooth jammers, generic “Bluetooth blockers,” or a replacement remote as verified ways to prevent a phone from connecting.
