Speeder bike: speed and agility at a cost
According to StarWars.com, speeder bikes trade systems for velocity and agility. Their Kinetic Burst temporarily increases speed but reduces control, and the lightweight craft has little armor. The official guide warns that wide turns can be difficult for inexperienced riders and that bikes are easier to crash.
TechRadar’s reviewer favored the bike’s compact agility and vectored thrust for tight corners on dunes and icy tracks. That experience illustrates why a player who enjoys maneuvering may prefer a bike, but the class’s speed and agility come with a real control and durability tradeoff.

Skim speeder: a faster, more technical ride
The official guide identifies the skim speeder as a vehicle making its debut in the game, but does not give the same detailed handling comparison it provides for landspeeders and bikes. Creative Bloq’s reviewer describes it as fast but twitchy, with a turning approach where one edge tilts down to act as a pivot. Treat that description as reviewer experience rather than a universal performance ranking.
Consider the skim speeder if you enjoy learning a precise turning style and are willing to adapt to twitchier handling. The sources do not establish it as an upgrade over the other speeder classes.

Podracer: a distinct high-speed challenge
Galactic Racer’s podracers use ramjets for higher speeds and an airbrake for tight turns, according to StarWars.com. Braking sharply reduces velocity, so the challenge is to slow enough to make the turn without giving away too much speed.
Creative Bloq describes podracers as much faster and more fragile than speeders, while TechRadar reports seeing them during select missions.
