You can stack an Electrolux front-load washer and dryer only with a stacking kit approved for both appliance models. Find each model number first, verify the kit and follow the model-specific installation instructions; Electrolux’s general guidance does not name one universal kit.
Before you buy a stacking kit
Do not choose a kit based only on its brand or appearance. Electrolux says a stacking kit is required for a stacked front-load washer and dryer, but the general guidance does not provide a part number or compatibility chart for every pair. Check the washer and dryer model numbers against Electrolux’s model-specific parts information or installation documentation before ordering. Electrolux’s laundry delivery and installation guide confirms the kit requirement.

Find both model numbers
Electrolux locates the front-load washer model number on the door trim and the dryer model number at the top of the door opening. Record both numbers and use them together when checking compatibility. See Electrolux’s model and serial number guide.
Prepare the installation space
Measure the space for the washer, dryer, and dryer vent before moving either appliance. Required dimensions and clearances vary by model, so use the installation guide for your exact dryer rather than relying on a single general clearance figure. Electrolux’s delivery and installation guidance specifically advises allowing room for the vent.

Check the floor, kit and appliance setup
Place the appliances on a level, solid floor. Electrolux advises against carpet, loose plywood, and other unstable surfaces. Once the approved kit is installed, check that its brackets are tight and the appliance feet are completely screwed in. Confirm the washer’s water supply
Before installing the washer, check that hot and cold faucets are within hose reach and that the hose connections are 3/4-inch threaded. Electrolux’s general water-supply guide specifies water pressure of 30 to 120 psi and a maximum 10 psi difference between hot- and cold-water pressure. Stacking kit or pedestal: which setup do you need?
A stacking kit secures the dryer above the washer. A pedestal is a separate base, often with a storage drawer, that raises an appliance; it is not a substitute for the kit required to stack a front-load pair. Electrolux’s pedestal guide describes pedestal drawers and their benefits.
Electrolux’s delivery guidance also says its installation teams cannot place a newly purchased appliance on an existing pedestal or add a new pedestal under an existing appliance. It states that the teams can install a pedestal only with a matching washer or dryer. Check the guide and arrange installation accordingly if you are considering a pedestal.

- Record both model numbers. Find the washer number on its door trim and the dryer number at the top of its door opening.
- Verify the kit for that exact pair. Confirm compatibility in Electrolux’s model-specific parts information or appliance documentation before purchasing.
- Read the installation instructions. Follow the instructions supplied for the washer, dryer and kit; do not assume another model’s procedure or clearances apply.
- Measure the location. Allow the required model-specific space, including room for the dryer vent.
- Prepare the floor and washer connections. Use a level, solid floor and check the water supply against the washer’s instructions.
- Secure and inspect the stack. Install the approved kit as directed, then check that brackets are tight and feet are fully screwed in.
If you cannot confirm that a kit is approved for both model numbers, do not proceed with stacking. Electrolux’s general guidance does not establish a universal kit, so model-specific documentation is the deciding reference.
