Spotify Wrapped is a personalized year-in-review in the Spotify app. For the 2025 edition, Spotify said eligible listeners could find it in the mobile app’s Home feed or by searching “2025 Wrapped.” The instructions and eligibility rules below apply to 2025; Spotify’s reviewed materials do not establish the 2026 launch date, features, or rules.
How to find Spotify Wrapped
Spotify’s 2025 instructions applied to the Spotify mobile app on iOS and Android. Update the app, then:

- Open Spotify and check the Wrapped feed near the top of Home.
- If it is not there, use Search and enter “2025 Wrapped.”
- Open the personalized experience if it appears.
Spotify said the 2025 experience was available to Free and Premium users in nearly all markets where Spotify operates. That availability and navigation are specific to that edition; Spotify’s official instructions for a later year may differ. Spotify’s 2025 access instructions

Who qualified for the 2025 edition?
Spotify’s published 2025 eligibility threshold required both:

Streams in Private Mode and plays of songs or playlists excluded from Taste Profile did not count toward eligibility. Spotify did not state a single minimum number of total listening minutes as the eligibility rule. Spotify’s eligibility details
What Spotify Wrapped shows
Spotify described Wrapped as a set of personalized stories, not one uniform report guaranteed to appear in full for every listener. The 2025 edition included familiar summaries such as total listening minutes across music, podcasts, and audiobooks; top songs and a personalized Top Songs playlist; top artists; and top genres. It also introduced or updated additional story and interaction formats, and brought audiobooks into the main listener experience for the first time. Some stories have their own data thresholds, so two eligible listeners may not see identical cards. The 2025 Wrapped methodology guide explains how specific stories are calculated.

What listening does Spotify count?

For 2025 Wrapped, Spotify captured listening from January through mid-November. The cutoff gave Spotify time to validate and prepare the experience before its December 3 launch, so the recap was not a complete January-to-December ledger. Spotify said a play counts for Wrapped after more than 30 seconds, and that offline listening is included. Spotify’s explanation of how 2025 Wrapped works

Different stories use different calculations
Spotify says the metrics vary by story. For 2025 Top Songs, tracks were ranked by how often they were listened to, provided the listener streamed at least 30 tracks. To qualify as an album in the album story, a listener needed to hear at least 70% of its tracks. Ranking considered both how often those tracks played and how evenly listening was spread across them. Singles, EPs, and compilations were not treated as albums for this feature. These are 2025 methodology details, not a promise that future editions will use the same rules. Spotify’s methodology guide
Why your Wrapped may look surprising
- The cutoff leaves out late-year listening. The 2025 window ended around mid-November, so later plays were outside that edition’s period.
- Memory is imperfect. You may have listened to a song or artist more—or less—than you remember.
- Shared devices can mix listeners. Plays by household members using the same smart speaker or home system may affect the account’s recap.
- Private Mode and Taste Profile exclusions have specific effects. Spotify says these listens can still count toward total listening time, while not shaping taste-based stories; they also do not count toward 2025 eligibility when excluded as described in Spotify’s rules.
For listening you do not want to influence taste-based stories, Spotify recommends Private Mode or Exclude from Taste Profile. Those controls do not turn a shared account into separate listening histories. Spotify’s guidance on surprising Wrapped results

Sharing Wrapped and playing with friends
Spotify said listeners could share Wrapped story cards through Spotify Messages or other social channels. The 2025 Wrapped Party was mobile-only: users could open it from the Wrapped hub, search for “Wrapped Party,” or reach it at the end of their personalized experience. Not necessarily. Spotify’s reviewed official materials establish the 2025 launch and rules, but do not establish the 2026 release date, access path, eligibility criteria, or story lineup. Check Spotify’s announcement for the relevant year rather than assuming the previous edition’s timing or features will carry over. The 2025 announcement is edition-specific.
