How to identify an Inverted hatch
NerdsChalk describes a light-blue mutation indicator in the inventory. The current interface has not been independently inspected, so use this as a reported visual cue, not a guaranteed description of every version of the game.
- After each hatch, open your inventory and inspect the new chicken for the Inverted label or reported light-blue marker.
- Confirm the chicken’s mutation before selling, deleting, or selecting it for fusion.
- If the inventory view is unclear, pause rather than treating an uncertain marker as proof that the chicken is ordinary.

A mutation is one part of a fighter’s value. NerdsChalk advises evaluating the individual chicken’s attributes and build, so compare the specific fighter with your current team rather than assuming every Inverted hatch should become your main fighter.

Community guides describe fusion as a possible way to move a mutation, but the current transfer chance is unresolved. The Grow a Chicken Fighter Wiki reports that post-HOTFIX 1.1 player accounts vary and that an exact current chance is not officially published. AllThingsHow reports a ceiling of up to 50% when rarities match, with lower chances as the rarity gap grows; that secondary claim is not settled live behavior. Reports that two Inverted chickens guarantee a transfer are also unverified.

Before committing a fusion
- Check which chicken is the intended base and which one is the donor.
- Consider whether the rarities match, but do not treat a match as a guarantee.
- Read the live Fuse preview and proceed only if the displayed result is acceptable. The preview is a prudent checkpoint, not proof that it reveals every hidden probability.
- Do not risk your only valuable Inverted chicken on an assumed transfer rate or an unverified guarantee.
The Wiki’s post-hotfix discussion explains why community claims can differ: its Inverted Chicken page describes varied player reports after HOTFIX 1.1, dated Aug. 15, 2026, while noting that exact current transfer odds are not officially published.
