Snapdragon has an eight-core Kryo CPU and Adreno GPU; Samsung’s Exynos 2400 has a ten-core Cortex CPU and Xclipse 940 GPU. The benchmark spread is too inconsistent—and the phones and test conditions too different—to declare a universal performance, battery-life or sustained-gaming winner.
How the two chips compare on paper
These are high-end smartphone platforms with different CPU and GPU designs. Specifications below are manufacturer-listed capabilities, not independent measurements of how a particular phone performs.

What the manufacturers’ improvement claims mean
Qualcomm advertises a 31% CPU performance improvement and up to 49% GPU performance improvement for Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, with both figures compared against Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. They are not claims of an advantage over Exynos 2400. Qualcomm also lists gaming and AI features, but those feature descriptions do not establish a direct performance ranking against Samsung’s chip.
Samsung says Exynos 2400 delivers a 14.7-fold AI performance improvement compared with Exynos 2200. That is Samsung’s claim against its own previous-generation chip, not a measured comparison with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Samsung also describes the Exynos 2400 as designed to minimize power consumption while boosting performance; this is vendor positioning, not a head-to-head battery test.

Benchmark results: AnTuTu tends to favor Snapdragon, but CPU and GPU tests vary
Third-party comparison pages report higher overall AnTuTu totals for Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, but their exact scores differ. Geekbench CPU results do not produce a consistent winner, and the available 3DMark figures also vary by source. The values below are the pages’ reported figures, accessed in 2026; they are not controlled, matched-phone measurements.

How to read the score spread
Do not treat these figures as directly interchangeable. Results can reflect the tested phone’s cooling and firmware, the particular run, benchmark version and the site’s aggregation method. For example, 91mobiles describes its Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 AnTuTu figure as the highest recorded by a device using that chipset, not an average or a guaranteed score. 91mobiles chipset listing
Geekbench’s live mobile results include a Galaxy S24+ with Exynos 2400 and a 6,040 multi-core result. That is one device entry on a changing results page, not a permanent chip-wide score. Geekbench mobile benchmarks

- Fast Charging Support: Yes
- Combined Processor Core: Octa-core
- Processor Manufacturer: ARM
Battery life, heat and sustained gaming are not settled by these scores
The cited comparisons do not establish a controlled, matched-phone result for battery life, efficiency, thermals or sustained performance. A short benchmark score cannot answer how long a phone lasts under your workload or whether it maintains peak speed during an extended game. Phone design, cooling, firmware, display and battery capacity all affect those experiences; the available figures do not isolate the processors well enough to rank them on those outcomes.
Which phones use these chips?
Samsung identifies the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ as Exynos 2400 devices. 91mobiles lists the POCO F7 among phones powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. These are examples, not a matched-device test: their implementations and other hardware differ, and regional variants should be checked before buying.
For a purchase, compare the exact phone variant and its price, display, cameras, software support, battery and thermal design—not just the processor name. The chip is one component of the experience, and the benchmark figures above do not establish which complete phone is better for every buyer.
