Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 leads the published benchmark aggregates by a wide margin, particularly in graphics-heavy results. But these figures come from different sources and devices, not a controlled test of two otherwise identical phones. The Dimensity 6360 is a more modest platform; “Dimensity 6360 Apex” is a name used in phone and chip listings, while MediaTek’s official page identifies the chip as Dimensity 6360.
At a glance
| Category | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Dimensity 6360 / Apex listings |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | One Cortex-X4 up to 3.21 GHz, three Cortex-A720 up to 3.0 GHz, two Cortex-A720 up to 2.8 GHz, and two Cortex-A720 up to 2.02 GHz, according to NanoReview. | Two Cortex-A76 up to 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 up to 2.0 GHz, according to MediaTek. |
| GPU | Adreno 825, according to NanoReview. | Arm Mali-G57 MC2, according to MediaTek. |
| Process | 4 nm, according to NanoReview. | 6 nm, according to MediaTek. |
| Memory and storage support | LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0, according to NanoReview. | LPDDR4x and UFS 2.2, according to MediaTek. |
| Camera and display capabilities | Up to 320 MP camera and 4K display, according to NanoReview. | Up to 108 MP camera, 2520×1080 resolution, and 120 Hz, according to MediaTek. |
| Connectivity | Snapdragon X75 modem, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0, according to NanoReview. | 3GPP Release 16 5G, peak download up to 3.3 Gb/s, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2, according to MediaTek. |
These are platform-level specifications and maximum capabilities, not a promise that a phone includes every feature. The Snapdragon specifications in this table are from NanoReview; Qualcomm’s official product page describes its marketed platform. MediaTek’s official Dimensity 6360 page supplies the listed Dimensity figures.

Benchmark scores: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 vs Dimensity 6360 Apex
The reported scores favor Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, but they should be read as separate published aggregates rather than a direct, matched-phone contest. NanoReview’s Snapdragon page lists AnTuTu 11 results; 91mobiles reports results from testing devices using the Dimensity 6360 Apex. The sources do not establish matching phones, cooling, configurations, or test conditions.

| Chip and source | AnTuTu | Geekbench 6 single-core | Geekbench 6 multi-core |
|---|---|---|---|
| Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 — NanoReview, accessed 2026 | 2,314,417 in AnTuTu 11; CPU 645,495, GPU 809,405, memory 372,805, UX 486,712 | 2,072 | 6,649 |
| Dimensity 6360 Apex — 91mobiles | 588,319 in its benchmark table; CPU 226,063, GPU 46,542, memory 144,306, UX 171,408 | 788 | 1,993 |
| Dimensity 6360 — NanoReview, accessed 2026 | 612,702 in AnTuTu 11 | 782 | 1,989 |
There is a discrepancy within the 91mobiles listing: its key-spec card gives the Apex an AnTuTu score of 588,702, while its benchmark table gives 588,319. Both values are reported here rather than choosing one as definitive. NanoReview’s separate Dimensity 6360 page also describes fewer than three samples for some tests, so its figures should not be treated as a broad or stable estimate.

The score gap is substantial in these listings, especially in GPU results, but benchmark totals are not a guarantee of how a particular handset feels or performs under sustained load. Benchmark versions, device cooling, memory, software, and other phone-level choices can all affect results. What “Dimensity 6360 Apex” means
MediaTek’s product page calls the platform Dimensity 6360 and does not provide a separate specification sheet named “Apex.” 91mobiles uses “Dimensity 6360 Apex” for a variant and associates it with device listings and benchmark results. That supports discussing the Apex name as used in those listings, but does not establish that MediaTek independently validates every Apex-specific detail.

MediaTek says the Dimensity 6360 offers “up to 57% faster gaming performance” and “up to 19% better gaming power efficiency” versus “direct alternative smartphone chipsets.” The inspected page does not identify those alternatives or explain the test method, so these are vendor claims—not a measured comparison with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.

If the main question is which chip has stronger published benchmark results, the evidence favors Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Its listed CPU and graphics results are far higher than the Dimensity 6360 Apex figures reported by 91mobiles. Treat that as an indication of relative platform capability, not a prediction that every Snapdragon phone will outperform every Dimensity phone in every task.

Compare the actual phones before buying
Chipset names alone cannot settle a phone purchase. The listings include OnePlus Nord 6 and Nothing Phone (3) among Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 phones, and OnePlus N6 5G and OnePlus N6x 5G among Dimensity 6360 Apex phones. Confirm the exact model and regional version you are considering; the chipset specifications do not establish current availability or price.

- Look for benchmark results from the exact phone, using the same benchmark version when comparing models.
- For gaming, check sustained performance and cooling rather than relying only on a short benchmark run.
- Verify the phone’s actual RAM and storage configuration; chipset support does not guarantee the manufacturer used the maximum supported standard.
- Compare battery behavior, camera hardware and processing, display implementation, and software support on the handset itself.
- Check network bands and regional variants against your carrier; a platform’s connectivity capabilities do not confirm that a particular phone enables every one.
