The AnTuTu numbers are inconsistent within the benchmark source, and no controlled tests here compare sustained speed, gaming, heat, or battery use across equivalent phones. The chips also appear in different phone ecosystems, so specifications and individual benchmark scores are only part of a buying decision.
Specifications: what each chip includes
| Feature | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Apple A19 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Qualcomm identifies a Kryo CPU with speeds up to 3.2 GHz. | Apple lists six CPU cores in iPhone 17: two performance cores and four efficiency cores. |
| Graphics | Qualcomm identifies an Adreno GPU; 91mobiles lists the Adreno 825. | Apple lists a five-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. |
| AI hardware | Qualcomm promotes AI capabilities; its stated improvement is relative to Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. | Apple lists a 16-core Neural Engine. |
| Connectivity | Qualcomm lists Wi-Fi 7 and a 5G modem among platform features. | Not stated in the cited iPhone 17 specification for this comparison. |
| Example device | 91mobiles names POCO F7 among phones powered by the chip. | Apple lists A19 in iPhone 17. |
These figures describe different platforms, not a directly comparable parts list. CPU core counts, clock speeds, and GPU labels do not by themselves predict how two complete phones will perform. In particular, a clock speed measured in GHz should not be treated as a cross-architecture performance ranking. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 brief and Apple’s iPhone 17 specifications document each manufacturer’s own platform details.

Geekbench results: A19 leads the reported CPU snapshot
91mobiles reports the following Geekbench 6 results for the two processors:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

|---|---|---|
| Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | 2,197 | 7,123 |
| Apple A19 | 3,672 | 9,327 |
In this publisher-reported snapshot, A19 is higher in both the single-core and multicore results. The figures are attributed to 91mobiles, accessed in 2026; the publication year for the exact comparison page is not established. They are not controlled chip-only results, and the cited page does not establish matched phone models or test conditions. Treat them as a point of comparison rather than a guarantee that every A19 phone will feel faster in every task. See 91mobiles’ comparison.

AnTuTu results: the source gives conflicting Snapdragon totals
91mobiles’ comparison section displays an AnTuTu total of 2,366,913 for Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and 2,250,422 for A19, which would put Snapdragon ahead in that section. However, the same page’s summary gives Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 a different total: 2,400,978. Because the Snapdragon figures conflict within the source, the comparison does not establish a reliable AnTuTu winner.
AnTuTu combines CPU, GPU, memory, and user-experience dimensions, according to the comparison page. Its composite score is not interchangeable with Geekbench’s CPU-focused single- and multicore results. Neither score alone demonstrates app responsiveness, gaming frame rates, or performance under prolonged load.

What Qualcomm’s improvement claims mean
Qualcomm claims improvements of 31% in CPU performance, 49% in GPU performance, and 44% in AI performance for Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 relative to Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Those are manufacturer comparisons with the previous generation—not results against Apple A19. Apple’s cited specification lists A19’s hardware configuration and capabilities rather than making a directly comparable cross-vendor performance claim. Qualcomm’s product brief is the source for its figures.
Which chip should you choose?
Use the benchmark results as one signal, then compare the actual phones you are considering. The cited material does not provide an equivalent-device test of sustained performance, thermals, battery draw, or gaming frame rates, nor a verified price comparison. Phone cooling, memory and storage configuration, display, camera, battery, and operating system can all matter to the overall experience, but no head-to-head evidence here ranks the devices on those factors.
Quick Recap
- If you care most about the reported CPU benchmarks: A19 leads the Geekbench 6 figures shown by 91mobiles.
- If you are comparing AnTuTu: the source’s conflicting Snapdragon totals make it unsafe to call a winner from those figures.
- If you are choosing a phone: compare the complete models and their configurations, not just the processor name or a single composite score.
