The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series is reported to be an eight-core smartphone chip with Oryon Gen 3 CPU cores, Adreno 840 graphics, LPDDR5X memory and a Snapdragon X85 modem. Its published benchmark scores come from a very small, device-specific record, so treat them as reported results—not a reliable prediction of how every phone with the chip will perform.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V: Specifications and Benchmark
Third-party listings use the name “Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series”; NanoReview also identifies the chip as model SM8850-1-AB. The available specifications are database reports rather than an accessible Qualcomm specification sheet, so details such as the exact V Series branding and GPU configuration are not independently confirmed by the manufacturer in the sources available here.

What are the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series specs?
The listings describe a 3 nm, TSMC-manufactured platform with eight Oryon Gen 3 CPU cores. Clock figures vary slightly between sources, so they are best read as source-reported maximums, not a single verified specification.

| Component | Reported details |
|---|---|
| CPU | Eight Oryon Gen 3 cores: 2 Prime and 6 Performance. NanoReview lists 2 × 4.61 GHz and 6 × 3.63 GHz; Notebookcheck describes up to 4.6 GHz and 3.6 GHz, respectively. |
| Manufacturing | 3 nm process; TSMC, according to NanoReview. |
| Graphics | Adreno 840. Notebookcheck labels it Adreno 840 V Series and describes the V version’s GPU configuration as reduced relative to the standard chip. |
| Memory | LPDDR5X at 5,300 MHz, with up to 84.8 GB/s bandwidth, according to NanoReview; 91mobiles also lists 84.8 GB/s. |
| Connectivity | Snapdragon X85 modem, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, according to NanoReview. |
| Other listed capabilities | 91mobiles lists a Hexagon NPU, two graphics pipelines and maximum 8K video capture at 60 fps. |
These are platform-level entries in third-party listings. They do not establish that every phone using the processor enables every listed feature. In particular, the available material does not establish that the V Series GPU is equivalent to the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 GPU.

What Geekbench score does the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series get?
Reported scores differ by benchmark version and handset. Notebookcheck lists Geekbench 5.5 results from a Xiaomi Poco F9 Pro; NanoReview lists Geekbench 6 figures with fewer than three samples. Because Geekbench versions are distinct tests, the results should not be combined into one ranking.
| Benchmark and source | Reported result | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 5.5, Notebookcheck | 2,414 single-core; 8,111 multi-core | Listed for a Xiaomi Poco F9 Pro; Notebookcheck page updated 2026-09-25. |
| Geekbench 6, NanoReview | 3,474 single-core; 10,594 multi-core | Fewer than three samples, according to NanoReview. |
| Geekbench 6 CPU, NanoReview recent entry | 3,349 single-core; 10,094 multi-core | User test entry dated 2026-09-22. |
| AnTuTu 11, NanoReview | 3,531,378 total | Listed component scores: CPU 1,072,515; GPU 1,108,332; memory 543,094; UX 807,437. |
| AnTuTu 11, NanoReview recent entry | 3,457,874 total | User test entry dated 2026-09-09. |
The NanoReview results are user-submitted or aggregated figures, not controlled independent lab measurements. A benchmark score also describes a particular run on a particular device; it does not guarantee the same score in another phone.

How to interpret the scores
- Match the benchmark version. Compare Geekbench 5.5 only with Geekbench 5.5, or Geekbench 6 only with Geekbench 6. A score from one version cannot be treated as a direct equivalent of the other.
- Keep handset context attached. Cooling, software, power limits, memory and device configuration can change results even when phones use the same processor. Notebookcheck’s Geekbench 5.5 figures are tied to its listed Poco F9 Pro.
- Separate CPU and graphics performance. Geekbench CPU results do not settle GPU performance. The available listings do not provide a comparable set of GPU benchmark results that would justify a graphics ranking.
- Read the sample size before drawing conclusions. NanoReview reports fewer than three Geekbench 6 samples. That is too sparse a basis for a robust, device-independent ranking or a claim about typical performance.
Accordingly, the figures are useful as snapshots of listed results, not as a dependable promise of what a future or different phone will score.
