In the available head-to-head results, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 phones scored higher than the Nothing Phone (2a) with Dimensity 7200 Pro. Those figures describe the tested handsets, not an assured ranking for every phone using either platform. On paper, Qualcomm lists Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 CPU speeds up to 2.5 GHz; MediaTek lists the Dimensity 7200 with two Cortex-A715 cores up to 2.8 GHz and six Cortex-A510 cores. MediaTek specifically identifies the Nothing Phone (2a)’s chip as Dimensity 7200 Pro, so the general Dimensity 7200 specification page should not be treated as a complete specification sheet for every Pro implementation.
At a glance: Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 vs Dimensity 7200 Pro
| Specification | Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 | Dimensity 7200 / 7200 Pro context |
|---|---|---|

| CPU | Maximum clock speed up to 2.5 GHz; the cited Qualcomm page does not establish the full core breakdown. | 2 × Cortex-A715 up to 2.8 GHz + 6 × Cortex-A510, on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 specification page. |
| GPU | Adreno graphics; the cited Qualcomm source does not establish a specific model number. | Arm Mali-G610 MC4, on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 specification page. |
| Memory support | LPDDR5, as summarized by 91mobiles; confirm the actual phone configuration. | LPDDR4x or LPDDR5 support, according to MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 page. |
| Connectivity capabilities | 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, as listed by Qualcomm. | 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, as listed by MediaTek for Dimensity 7200. |
| Imaging capabilities | Up to 200 MP photos and 4K HDR video, as described by Qualcomm; phone implementation varies. | Up to 200 MP sensors and 4K HDR video capability, as listed by MediaTek for Dimensity 7200. |
These are platform capabilities, not a promise that a handset includes every feature. Phone makers determine the installed memory, camera hardware, modem bands, cooling system and software support. Qualcomm’s specifications are available on its Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 page; MediaTek’s general specifications are on its Dimensity 7200 page.

What “Dimensity 7200 Pro” means
MediaTek uses the Dimensity 7200 Pro name for the chip in the Nothing Phone (2a). That supports using the Phone (2a) as a concrete Pro example. However, MediaTek’s general product page describes the Dimensity 7200; it does not establish that every device or implementation called “7200 Pro” has identical specifications. The benchmark comparison below is specifically between tested Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 phones and the Nothing Phone (2a), not an abstract, device-independent chip test.

| Benchmark | Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 phone | Nothing Phone (2a), Dimensity 7200 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu | 834,739 | 707,480 |
| Geekbench single-core / multi-core | 1,208 / 3,325 | 1,068 / 2,454 |
These are 91mobiles’ reported device scores on its comparison page, accessed in 2026; the page’s publication year was not stated. They are results for particular phones, not fixed scores guaranteed by either chipset. Cooling, memory, firmware, benchmark version and test conditions can all affect results, so the figures do not establish a universal processor winner.
Why other benchmark numbers may differ
The live Geekbench Browser chart for the Nothing Phone (2a) is compiled from user-submitted Geekbench 6 results. At access, it displayed 906 single-core, 2,355 multi-core, 2,489 Vulkan and 2,754 OpenCL scores. These changing user-submitted results are not a matched comparison against Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, and they should not be mixed with 91mobiles’ comparison as if they came from the same test setup. See the Geekbench Phone (2a) chart.

Which chipset should you choose?
If benchmark performance is your priority
The available direct comparison favors the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 handsets tested by 91mobiles. Treat that as one useful data point. For a specific purchase, look for tests of the exact phone model using the same benchmark version and comparable conditions. Sustained gaming or other long workloads also merit separate evaluation; a short benchmark run does not show how performance behaves as a phone heats up.
If you are comparing specifications
The listed maximum CPU clocks do not decide the comparison by themselves: Qualcomm’s cited page gives a maximum of 2.5 GHz without a full core breakdown, while MediaTek specifies two performance cores up to 2.8 GHz alongside six efficiency cores. The platforms also differ in listed memory options, Bluetooth version and GPU information. Those capabilities matter only insofar as the specific phone implements them; verify the handset’s actual configuration rather than inferring it from the chipset name.

If you are choosing between phones
Compare the complete devices, not just the processor labels. Check the exact regional model and memory configuration, software support, display, cameras, battery life, cooling and network compatibility. The Nothing Phone (2a) is the documented Dimensity 7200 Pro example; 91mobiles identifies the Nothing Phone (3a) as a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 handset. Their chip benchmark figures should not be read as a general prediction for every model carrying either platform.
