The Snapdragon 778G and MediaTek Dimensity 7060 benchmark figures do not establish a universal winner. The available comparison pages disagree on some scores, and they do not document a controlled test using matched phones. Qualcomm publishes official Snapdragon 778G specifications; the Dimensity 7060 details below come from secondary sources and should be treated accordingly.

How their documented hardware compares
CPU configuration
Qualcomm identifies the Snapdragon 778G CPU as Kryo 670 and lists a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz. NanoReview describes the Dimensity 7060 as having two Cortex-A78 cores reaching 2.6 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores reaching 2.0 GHz. Those configurations and clocks are not, by themselves, a measure of which chip will feel faster: workload, phone design, and thermal limits matter, and the Dimensity details are secondary-source reports rather than an official MediaTek specification.

Graphics and gaming
The Snapdragon 778G uses Qualcomm’s Adreno 642L GPU; NanoReview lists an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU for the Dimensity 7060. These GPU names do not show how a particular phone will perform in a game. The comparison pages reviewed do not establish a matched-phone gaming test, so frame rates, sustained performance, and graphics settings should be checked in reviews of the exact handsets.

Process, connectivity, and platform claims
Qualcomm lists a 6 nm process and its Snapdragon X53 5G Modem-RF System for the 778G. NanoReview also reports a 6 nm process for the Dimensity 7060, but the cited specification listing does not state its modem. Qualcomm additionally advertises features including Spectra 570L imaging, Hexagon 770 AI, and selected Snapdragon Elite Gaming capabilities. These are Qualcomm platform descriptions, not independent evidence that the 778G outperforms the Dimensity 7060 in camera, AI, or gaming tasks.

Qualcomm’s product page also claims up to 12 TOPS for the combined AI Engine and up to 20% faster touch response for Game Quick Touch. Those are company-stated platform benefits; they are not head-to-head comparisons with the Dimensity 7060. Qualcomm’s stated “up to 40%” CPU and GPU performance improvements compare the 778G with previous generations, not with this MediaTek chip.
Benchmark scores: read each source and version separately
The two comparison sources report different Geekbench 6 results for the Dimensity 7060. AnTuTu results below use different versions, so they should not be treated as a direct ranking.
| Benchmark and version | Dimensity 7060 | Snapdragon 778G | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 1,013 | 769 | CPUBoss |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 2,423 | 2,795 | CPUBoss |
| AnTuTu 10 total | 529,357 | not stated in the retrieved CPUBoss comparison excerpt | CPUBoss |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 1,037 | not stated | NanoReview |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 2,386 | not stated | NanoReview |
| AnTuTu 11 total | 693,978 | not stated | NanoReview |
CPUBoss reports the first set on its Dimensity 7060 versus Snapdragon 778G comparison; NanoReview reports the second set on its Dimensity 7060 specifications and benchmarks page. The Dimensity Geekbench 6 numbers differ between these sources, while the AnTuTu totals use different benchmark versions. Neither source’s figures should be presented as results from a single, controlled test of both chips in equivalent phones.

What the scores can—and cannot—tell you
CPUBoss’s reported Geekbench 6 figures put the Dimensity 7060 higher in single-core score and the Snapdragon 778G higher in multi-core score. That is a comparison of the values published on that page, not proof that every Dimensity 7060 phone will be quicker in single-core tasks or every Snapdragon 778G phone will lead in sustained multi-core work. The available material does not specify a matched-device protocol, common software, temperature, cooling, or memory configuration for these exact chips.
Benchmark results can vary with the handset and test conditions. Treat the published figures as reference points, not guaranteed performance for a phone you might buy. For gaming or sustained workloads in particular, seek tests of the exact models being considered.

MediaTek’s official pages found for the Dimensity 7020 and Dimensity 7025 describe those separate processors; they do not verify the Dimensity 7060’s configuration. Do not use specifications for either adjacent model as a substitute for a 7060 specification sheet.
- MediaTek Dimensity 7020 is a different model.
- MediaTek Dimensity 7025 is also a different model.
Which processor should you choose?
Choose between phones, not chip names in isolation. The benchmark pages do not identify a controlled, matched-phone comparison, and the information available here does not establish current handset availability, regional prices, or a specific device pairing. Compare the actual models on the factors that affect day-to-day use:
- Independent performance and gaming tests for the exact phone, especially sustained results rather than a single peak score.
- Battery life and thermal behavior under the workloads you care about.
- Software support, display, cameras, and storage on the particular device.
- Price and availability in your region.
If performance is the priority, use reviews of the phones available to you and check which benchmark version and device each review tested. A chip-level score alone cannot settle the choice.
