The Dimensity 6360 Max leads the AnTuTu total, while the Snapdragon 778G leads both Geekbench results, single-core and multi-core. The scores come from device-based results reported by 91mobiles, checked on 7 October 2026. They were not produced by a controlled test of both chips in identical phones, so they show tendencies rather than a verdict. The spec sheets also disagree on memory, storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the “6360 Max” label itself needs explaining.
What each chip is built on
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G is described on its official page as pairing a Kryo 670 CPU running up to 2.4 GHz with an Adreno 642L GPU, a Hexagon 770 processor, an X53 modem-RF system and a 6 nm process. Qualcomm also describes the platform’s capabilities for gaming, imaging, AI and 5G. These are manufacturer platform claims, and the Qualcomm page cited here does not break down the CPU core layout.

MediaTek’s official Dimensity 6360 page takes a different shape: two Arm Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.4 GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz, and Arm Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. It lists LPDDR4x memory, UFS 2.2 storage, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, camera support up to 108 MP, 5G download speeds up to 3.3 Gbps, and display refresh rates up to 120 Hz. MediaTek describes the chip as “a highly energy-efficient 5G smartphone processor that supports up to 108MP cameras, vibrant displays, wireless coexistence technology, and gaming performance enhanced by MediaTek HyperEngine.” That is MediaTek’s own product description, not an independent test.

Benchmark results
The figures below are the scores 91mobiles reports in its Snapdragon 778G vs MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max comparison, checked on 7 October 2026. The publication does not state a year for the tests. The page also notes that the AnTuTu figure for the Dimensity 6360 Max is the highest recorded by any device running that chip; this is 91mobiles’ own claim and has not been independently verified.
| Test | Dimensity 6360 Max | Snapdragon 778G | Higher score |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total | 651,333 | 587,520 | Dimensity 6360 Max |
| Geekbench single-core | 784 | 1,022 | Snapdragon 778G |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,042 | 2,957 | Snapdragon 778G |
AnTuTu component scores
The AnTuTu total is the sum of four sub-scores. The comparison reports them as follows; the Dimensity 6360 Max leads three of four categories, and the Snapdragon 778G’s lead in graphics is the widest gap in the set.
| AnTuTu component | Dimensity 6360 Max | Snapdragon 778G |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | 233,318 | 204,740 |
| GPU | 47,794 | 138,179 |
| Memory | 179,323 | 129,747 |
| UX | 190,898 | 114,854 |
| Total | 651,333 | 587,520 |
Why the score sets point in different directions
The two benchmarks weigh different work, so they can disagree about which chip is faster. The AnTuTu CPU sub-score favours the Dimensity 6360 Max, yet Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core results favour the Snapdragon 778G. Asking which chip has the stronger CPU therefore depends on the test.
The graphics gap is the most consequential number in the set. The Snapdragon 778G’s AnTuTu GPU sub-score (138,179) is nearly three times the Dimensity 6360 Max’s (47,794). That is a synthetic graphics result, not a frame rate measured in a specific game, so it indicates a likely advantage in graphics-heavy work but does not establish how any particular game will run.
Scores also move with the handset itself. Cooling, memory configuration, firmware, power settings, benchmark version and test conditions all change results. The comparison does not show a matched experiment in which both chips ran in the same phone, so the AnTuTu lead should not be read as “faster in every task,” and Geekbench should not be read as a gaming measure.
Rank #2
Reading the “6360 Max” label
MediaTek’s official page is titled “MediaTek Dimensity 6360” and does not describe a separate “Max” silicon variant. 91mobiles uses “Dimensity 6360 Max” and reports its specifications and scores under that name. The available sources do not establish whether “Max” is a distinct chip revision or a naming variation used for particular handsets, so the two labels should not be treated as confirmed equivalents.
The sources also disagree on one spec. 91mobiles lists Bluetooth 5.4 for the Dimensity 6360 Max, while MediaTek’s page specifies Bluetooth 5.2 for the Dimensity 6360. For a claim about official platform capability, MediaTek’s figure is the better reference. When a phone’s listing uses the “6360 Max” name, confirm its Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and memory details against that handset’s own specification sheet.
Choosing between phones that use these chips
The chipset narrows the choice but does not settle it. The comparison points to a sensible way to weigh the two platforms against actual handsets:
- Graphics and gaming: the Snapdragon 778G’s GPU advantage in the AnTuTu breakdown is the clearest difference in the published numbers.
- CPU-heavy tasks: the results conflict. Check independent reviews of the specific phone rather than relying on one benchmark.
- Memory and storage: the listed platforms differ (LPDDR5 with UFS 3.1 against LPDDR4X with UFS 2.2), but the phone’s actual configuration decides what you get.
- Display: the platform ceilings are 144 Hz for the Snapdragon 778G and 120 Hz for the Dimensity 6360 Max, per 91mobiles. Confirm the panel’s refresh rate on the spec sheet.
- Wireless: Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 on one side, Wi-Fi 5 on the other, as listed by 91mobiles.
- Thermals, software support, battery, price and availability: these depend on the handset, not the chip.
91mobiles lists the OPPO F33 Pro 5G among phones powered by the Dimensity 6360 Max. Its list of Snapdragon 778G phones includes the vivo V29, OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G, Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G and Samsung Galaxy M52 5G. These are examples from that publisher’s list, not a complete catalogue, and they do not confirm current retail availability in your market. Check the full specifications and local availability before buying.
Official chip specifications from MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 page and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G page are the primary references for platform capability; the benchmark figures above come from the 91mobiles comparison.
