Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is the faster and more feature-rich chip on paper and in the benchmark figures we could cite. 91mobiles reports an AnTuTu score of 1,457,989 for it against 983,589 for the Dimensity 7300 Max. Those are reported phone results, not controlled lab measurements, and the phone around the chip matters as much as the chip itself.
Specifications side by side
Qualcomm and MediaTek publish different levels of detail. Qualcomm documents Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 on its own platform page. MediaTek’s official public material covers the Dimensity 7300 family, not the Max variant specifically. Max-specific details therefore come from realme’s phone specifications and from 91mobiles’ comparison table.

Two cautions on the table. The Max-specific CPU and GPU core details are third-party data. The memory and storage rows describe a platform listing on one side and a specific phone on the other, so they are not a like-for-like chip limit; actual handsets vary by region and configuration.

Benchmark comparison
| Test (as reported by 91mobiles, page accessed 2026) | Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 | Dimensity 7300 Max |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu | 1,457,989 | 983,589 |
| Geekbench single-core | 1,385 | 1,003 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 4,314 | 2,869 |
On these figures Snapdragon leads by roughly 48% in AnTuTu, 38% in single-core Geekbench and 50% in multi-core Geekbench (our arithmetic from the table). That is a consistent lead, and it fits the newer CPU design on the Qualcomm side.

Why these numbers are not constants
91mobiles collects results from phones; it is not a controlled test with identical cooling, software and benchmark versions. No such head-to-head test with identical hardware turned up in the sources reviewed. A cross-check shows the spread: realme’s 16 Pro 5G product page publishes an AnTuTu score of 971,755 for its Dimensity 7300 Max phone, against 91mobiles’ 983,589. The two differ because they come from different reporting contexts, and neither is the single “correct” score. The gap between the two chips is far larger than this spread, though.

In its May 15, 2025 launch announcement, Qualcomm said Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 improves CPU performance by 27%, GPU rendering by 30% and AI performance by 65% over Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. These are vendor figures against its own previous generation. They do not compare the chip with any MediaTek part. Qualcomm’s Chris Patrick described the platform as bringing “AI-driven experiences built directly into the hardware”; that is promotional language, so weigh it accordingly.

Connectivity: the clearest on-paper difference
Qualcomm documents Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 for Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 family material lists Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. Wi-Fi 7 only helps if your router supports it, and a phone maker can omit features a chip supports, so check the final phone’s spec sheet. The 5G peak figures (4.2 Gbps versus 3.27 Gbps) are theoretical maximums that depend on carrier networks and are rarely reached in daily use.
Real phones: the realme 16 Pro 5G example
realme confirms the Dimensity 7300 Max in the 16 Pro 5G, with an eight-core CPU, Mali-G615 GPU, LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Configurations vary by market, so confirm your region before comparing memory or battery. On the Snapdragon side, 91mobiles lists handsets such as the OPPO Reno16 5G, vivo V70, Motorola Edge 70 and realme P4 Pro. Prices and availability change by date and country, and are not compared here.

How to choose between phones
- Raw speed and heavy gaming: the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 has the stronger reported numbers. Check sustained performance and thermals on the specific phone, since short benchmark runs hide throttling.
- Future-proof wireless: Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 favour Snapdragon, if the phone enables them.
- Everyday use: both are mid-range chips. Screen, battery, cameras, software update policy and price may matter more than the benchmark gap.
- Memory and storage: compare the exact RAM and storage type on each phone, as a faster chip paired with slower storage narrows the real-world difference.
The sources do not include frame-rate or battery tests for either chip, so claims about game performance or efficiency are not established here.
The Bottom Line
Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 wins every listed benchmark and spec comparison, but pick the phone, not the chip: price, thermals, memory, battery and software support decide the real experience.
