On paper and in 91mobiles’ reported device tests, the Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition leads the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in peak CPU clocks, memory and storage specifications, and the cited benchmark scores. Those scores are results from tested phones, not guaranteed performance for every handset with either chip. If you are choosing a phone, compare the actual models’ sustained performance, cooling, price, cameras, battery and software support—not just their processor names.

The specifications come from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 product brief, MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 product page and the variant-specific 91mobiles comparison. The benchmark figures are 91mobiles’ reported results from device testing, not a manufacturer guarantee or a controlled, chip-only head-to-head result.

How the CPU specifications compare
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 combines one prime core, three performance cores and four efficiency cores. Qualcomm lists maximum frequencies of 2.63 GHz, 2.4 GHz and 1.8 GHz for those groups, respectively. The Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition uses four Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores; 91mobiles’ comparison lists one A715 at up to 3.35 GHz and the other three at up to 3.2 GHz, with the A510 group up to 2.2 GHz.

That gives the MediaTek chip higher listed peak CPU frequencies, but clock speed alone does not establish how fast a phone will feel or how well it will sustain performance. Core design, firmware, cooling and power limits also affect results. Neither specification is a substitute for testing the specific phones under the same workload.

Memory, storage and manufacturing
MediaTek lists quad-channel LPDDR5X memory support up to 8533 Mbps and UFS 4.0 storage with MCQ. Qualcomm lists LPDDR5 up to 3200 MHz and UFS 3.1. These are different memory standards and the figures use different units, so the raw numbers should not be treated as a direct like-for-like speed ratio. They do show that the Dimensity platform lists newer memory and storage standards.
Support is not the same as what a phone actually contains: manufacturers choose the installed RAM and storage configuration. Both chips are described with a 4 nm label in the cited listings, but that shared headline does not establish identical manufacturing implementation, power use or efficiency.
What the benchmark comparison shows—and what it does not
In its comparison, 91mobiles reports 1,440,382 for the Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition and 1,077,869 for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in AnTuTu. Its Geekbench results are 1,478 single-core and 4,759 multi-core for the Dimensity, compared with 1,172 and 3,235 for the Snapdragon.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →These are useful comparison figures, but they describe tested devices, not every phone using either chipset. 91mobiles says its results come from real-world device testing and describes the listed AnTuTu result for the Extreme Edition as the highest it recorded on a device using that chipset. Its published testing methodology describes controls such as brightness, audio and temperature, as well as cooldown and retest practices. That does not mean the SoC alone caused every score difference or establish that every aggregate score came from identically configured phones.
Do not mix these results with NanoReview’s separate comparison of the standard Dimensity 8350. NanoReview reports different AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 figures for that variant and its samples; it is not a test of the Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition. Variant, handset and test-sample differences make those results unsuitable for combining into one score table.
The cited manufacturer material does not provide a Qualcomm-versus-MediaTek benchmark with the chips isolated under matched conditions. Treat the third-party numbers as results from the tested phones, rather than a universal prediction or proof of a chipset-only advantage.

Gaming and graphics
Qualcomm identifies an Adreno GPU and lists selected Snapdragon Elite Gaming features. MediaTek specifies Mali-G615 MC6 graphics and describes HyperEngine adaptive gaming features. Those platform descriptions do not establish game frame rates on a retail phone. For gaming, look for tests of the phones you are considering that report sustained frame rates, heat and stability during longer sessions; cooling and software tuning can change the outcome.
Camera and video
Qualcomm lists a Spectra triple ISP, photo capture up to 200 MP and 4K HDR video options. MediaTek lists its Imagiq 980 ISP, a 14-bit HDR ISP and 4K60 HDR claims. These are platform capabilities, not promises about a finished phone’s camera. The phone maker selects the sensors, lenses, processing and enabled recording modes.
AI features
Qualcomm lists Hexagon NPU components and AI features; MediaTek lists a multi-core NPU 780 and generative AI capabilities. Vendor descriptions do not provide a direct, independent cross-platform ranking. The practical features available to you depend on the phone’s software and the manufacturer’s implementation.
Connectivity and display support
Qualcomm lists an X63 modem system with peak downlink up to 5 Gbps and Wi-Fi 6E. MediaTek lists peak downlink up to 5.17 Gbps and Wi-Fi 6E. These peak rates are manufacturer specifications, not real-world speed results; network bands, carrier aggregation, coverage, modem configuration and local carrier support matter. Regional band support is also phone-specific.
MediaTek lists display support up to FHD+ at 180 Hz or WQHD+ at 120 Hz. Qualcomm lists on-device support for WQHD+ up to 120 Hz, WFHD+ up to 168 Hz and 4K up to 60 Hz. A phone’s actual panel and manufacturer configuration determine which display features you get.

How to choose between phones with these chips
The available evidence supports comparing the chip specifications and attributed benchmark results, but not naming one chipset as the best choice in every phone. The cited 91mobiles page identifies the Motorola Edge 60 Pro as a Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition phone; its comparison also lists Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 phones. That does not establish a same-condition retail-phone matchup.
For a buying decision, compare the named phones against the priorities that affect daily use:
Quick Recap
- Price and availability: Check current local prices and whether each model is sold in your country.
- Sustained performance: Prefer comparable long-session gaming or workload tests that report frame-rate stability and heat, rather than relying on one peak benchmark.
- Cooling and configuration: Check the cooling design and the actual RAM and storage in the specific version you would buy.
- Everyday hardware: Compare the screen, camera hardware, battery capacity and charging.
- Ownership: Verify the software update policy, supported connectivity bands and access to service in your region.
