Short answer: MediaTek lists a higher peak CPU clock for the Dimensity 7025 than Qualcomm lists for the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, and comparison-site benchmark data generally puts the Dimensity ahead. That is a directional comparison, not a guarantee that every phone using it will feel faster. Phone design, memory, cooling and software all matter. MediaTek’s detailed specification page is for the Dimensity 7025; the available source confirms the “7025 Ultra” name but does not establish separate Ultra-specific specifications.

What the clock and platform figures mean
The Dimensity 7025’s listed peak CPU frequency is 2.5 GHz, compared with 2.3 GHz for the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. That does not, by itself, prove that a phone with the Dimensity will be faster in every task. Sustained performance also depends on the phone’s cooling, power limits, memory configuration and software.
Likewise, the listed display resolutions, refresh rates, camera support and cellular peak rates are platform ceilings or capabilities. They do not establish the screen, camera quality, supported network bands or real-world network speeds of a particular handset. The two 6 nm process labels are similar, but they do not establish equal power consumption in finished phones.

Benchmark results: Dimensity leads in the cited comparisons, but scores vary
Two comparison sites report a lead for the Dimensity 7025, but their figures are not identical. These are reported comparison-page results, not a controlled test of the chips in otherwise identical phones.

Does “Dimensity 7025 Ultra” have different specifications?
MediaTek’s Dimensity 5G Open Resource Architecture material displays the “Dimensity 7025 Ultra” designation. The detailed official specification page cited above is titled “Dimensity 7025,” and does not establish a separate Ultra-specific CPU, GPU or performance profile. Do not assume those specifications differ—or are identical—without a specification sheet from the phone maker for the exact handset and region.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhich chip should you choose?
Use the processor comparison as one factor, then compare the complete phones you can actually buy. A handset’s implementation may matter more to everyday use than a difference in peak clock or database benchmark score.
Quick Recap
- Check the exact model and region. Confirm the chipset in the manufacturer’s specification page for the precise model number; names and configurations can vary by market.
- Compare memory. Check both RAM capacity and memory type in the phone, rather than relying only on the platform’s supported options.
- Look for device-level performance evidence. Reviews of the exact handset can reveal how it handles sustained workloads, heat and games; chip specifications alone do not establish sustained frame rates.
- Compare the rest of the phone. Battery, screen, camera system, software and update support can make a larger practical difference to your choice.
- Verify cellular compatibility. Check the phone’s supported bands and your carrier’s requirements. The quoted peak download rates are theoretical chipset figures, not expected speeds on a particular network.
- Compare current prices. Choose between the actual phone models and their overall features, not processor names in isolation.
