Choose Snapdragon 695 if you need a phone platform with 5G; Helio G99 is a 4G platform. Published CPU and overall benchmark aggregates often put Snapdragon 695 ahead, but scores vary by source and handset. For most buyers, the network requirement is the clearest difference; speed claims need context, and the phone’s price, features, and software support still matter.
Specifications: what separates the two platforms?
Both chips use a 6nm-class process and an eight-core CPU, but differ in cellular connectivity, core arrangement, graphics hardware, and supported platform features. These are chip capabilities, not guarantees that every phone using the chip will include the same screen, memory, storage, camera, or network bands.

| Display and camera capabilities | Qualcomm describes FHD+ display support up to 120fps and Spectra 346T ISP capabilities | MediaTek lists FHD+ display support up to 120Hz and camera sensor support up to 108MP |
Official feature details are available from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 page and MediaTek’s Helio G99 page. Display refresh rate and frame-rate terminology describe different things; the listed maximums are platform capabilities, not proof that a particular handset has a 120Hz panel. Phone makers choose the actual panel, camera system, memory and storage configuration, and cooling design.

Published aggregate results generally favor Snapdragon 695 on CPU and total scores, but the gap is not consistent across sources. These figures come from separate listings and samples, not a controlled head-to-head test using phones with identical designs and conditions.

| 91mobiles, Geekbench single-core / multi-core | 917 / 2,047 | 575 / 1,766 |
The sample counts above are the counts reported by NanoReview; the separate score set is from 91mobiles’ comparison listing. Do not combine the two sources’ scores into one ranking. NanoReview’s AnTuTu component results put Snapdragon ahead in CPU, GPU, and UX, while Helio G99 leads in memory in that aggregate.
A benchmark score is a result for a test and device sample, not a direct forecast of how every phone will feel. Geekbench’s Android results listing includes individual phone models using both processors. Game performance can also change with the phone’s cooling, software, game version, and settings; a GPU name or theoretical throughput alone does not establish a universal frame-rate winner.

Which one is better for your needs?
Pick Snapdragon 695 when 5G matters
Snapdragon 695 is the relevant choice if 5G support is a firm requirement. Qualcomm lists both sub-6 GHz and mmWave support for the platform, but the exact phone must still support the bands used by your carrier and market. Check the handset’s regional specification rather than assuming every Snapdragon 695 model has identical modem configuration or coverage.
Consider Helio G99 if 4G is enough
Helio G99 can make sense when 4G meets your needs and a particular phone offers the better combination of price and features. MediaTek lists support for LPDDR4X, UFS 2.2, and FHD+ displays up to 120Hz; whether a handset uses those capabilities depends on its manufacturer.

If speed is the deciding factor
Published results often favor Snapdragon 695, especially in CPU and overall scores, but different sources report different margins. Treat that as a useful indication rather than a guarantee of everyday speed or sustained gaming performance. For a close purchase decision, compare the exact phones and matched benchmark versions where available, keeping CPU, GPU, memory, and total scores distinct.
