Both platforms are specified as 4 nm and are listed with an Adreno 710 GPU in that comparison. Treat the scores as indicative rather than a guarantee: results and sustained performance vary by phone.
Benchmark results: 6s Gen 4 leads in the reported scores
91mobiles reports the following results for the two chipsets. These are that publisher’s figures, not guaranteed scores for every handset or a controlled chip-only test: the comparison does not establish matched phones, firmware, temperatures, repeated runs, or test versions.

| Benchmark | Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 | Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu | 846,599 | 889,090 |
| Geekbench single-core | 948 | 1,016 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,764 | 2,979 |
On these reported results, the 6s Gen 4 is ahead in both Geekbench tests and AnTuTu. That is useful as a directional comparison, but it cannot establish how two specific phones will perform in a game or during a long workload. For the source’s results and specification table, see 91mobiles’ Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 vs Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 comparison.

How to interpret Qualcomm’s performance claims
Qualcomm claims up to 35% CPU and 30% GPU improvement for the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 over its own previous generation. For the 6s Gen 4, Qualcomm claims 36% CPU and 59% GPU improvement over that chip’s previous generation. These percentages use different generational baselines; they are not a direct measurement of the 6s Gen 4 against the 6 Gen 1.
Likewise, the 6s Gen 4’s stated 144 fps display support and up-to-200 MP capture capability describe platform-level support, not a promise that every phone using it has a 144 Hz screen or a 200 MP camera. Phone makers decide which supported capabilities appear in a particular model.

Which chipset should you choose?
If the choice is between otherwise comparable phones, the available benchmark comparison and the higher listed peak CPU clock favor the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. But chipset names alone are not enough to determine the better phone or its battery life. Compare the actual models, including:
- Price, regional availability, and the exact RAM and storage configuration.
- Cooling design, which can affect sustained performance under long workloads.
- Battery capacity, display specifications, and software support.
- Camera hardware and implementation, rather than platform-level megapixel support alone.
- Supported cellular bands and the connectivity features enabled in the regional model.
The sources cited here do not establish current handset prices or comparable phone-level test conditions, so check each device’s specifications and availability in your region before deciding.
