The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is the more capable platform on paper and leads the available third-party benchmark sample. It lists faster CPU cores, newer wireless features, and higher camera and display ceilings. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is still a 4 nm chip with 5G and LPDDR5 support, aimed at everyday use in more affordable phones. Neither chip’s specifications or synthetic scores alone establish battery life, sustained gaming performance, or overall phone quality.

How do the benchmark results compare?
91mobiles’ displayed benchmark panel reports higher figures for the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in both AnTuTu and Geekbench. These are third-party sample results, not controlled tests of identical phones or universal scores for every device.

| Benchmark | Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 sample | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 sample |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu | 622,466 | 1,176,492 |
| Geekbench single-core | 955 | 1,280 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,333 | 3,475 |
The 91mobiles comparison page also shows 626,958 for the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 in its summary, rather than the 622,466 shown in its benchmark panel. That discrepancy means the AnTuTu figure should be treated as an indicative result, not a precise, settled value. The comparison and its displayed figures are at 91mobiles’ Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 vs 7s Gen 4 page.

What the differences mean in a phone
CPU and everyday speed
The 7s Gen 4 has a stated 1/3/4 core arrangement and higher maximum clocks than the 4 Gen 4’s listed 2.3 GHz maximum. This makes it the more performance-oriented platform on paper and is consistent with its higher scores in the cited benchmark sample. Real responsiveness also depends on a phone’s memory, storage, software, and workload.
Gaming and graphics
The 7s Gen 4 lists a higher display ceiling and a newer Vulkan version, but those specifications do not show how quickly a particular phone renders a game or sustains performance after it heats up. Cooling design, game settings, screen resolution, and software can change the experience. The available figures do not establish a controlled sustained-gaming winner.

- Snapdragon 888 with Android 14 and 5G – An octa-core Snapdragon 888 processor paired with Android 14 delivers smarter privacy controls, refined battery efficiency, and seamless app switching. 5G dual SIM support keeps downloads and video calls blazing fast, so you’re always connected without lag.
- 5000mAh Battery That Lasts All Day – The high-density 5000mAh battery delivers enough power to comfortably handle a full day of heavy use—from streaming and gaming to work and navigation. Fast charging support quickly tops you up when needed, so you spend less time plugged in and more time on the go.
Camera and video
The 7s Gen 4’s listed support for up to 200 MP photos and 4K HDR video is a higher platform ceiling than the 4 Gen 4’s stated 36 MP multi-camera capability. Those figures describe supported processing features, not the quality of a phone’s photos or video. Sensors, lenses, stabilization, image processing, and the manufacturer’s implementation matter.
Connectivity
Qualcomm lists Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 for the 7s Gen 4, compared with Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 for the 4 Gen 4. The 7s Gen 4 also lists mmWave alongside sub-6 GHz 5G, while the 4 Gen 4 lists sub-6 GHz. The stated 2.9 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps peak cellular rates are theoretical platform maxima, not typical real-world speeds. Supported bands, carrier certification, and access to these features depend on the phone model and market.

Power use and battery life
Both platforms are listed as 4 nm, but that shared process label does not establish equal power draw or battery life. The available sources do not provide a controlled comparison of otherwise identical phones, so battery endurance must be judged from the specific handset rather than inferred from the chip names.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which processor should you choose?
- Choose a phone with Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 if you want the stronger listed CPU configuration, higher benchmark sample results, newer wireless features, or broader camera and display support—and the phone’s price and other features suit you.
- Consider a phone with Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 for ordinary daily workloads if the overall handset offers the price, screen, battery, memory, and software support you need.
Compare actual phones, not processor names alone. Check RAM and storage, cooling, display, battery, camera hardware, software-update commitments, carrier bands, and the configuration sold in your region. Qualcomm’s feature qualifications also make clear that implementation differs by device: see its 7s Gen 4 brief and 4 Gen 4 platform page.
