The Skullcandy Crusher 540 Active was reported at $119.99 at Amazon on September 30, 2026, down from its $209.99 recommended retail price, according to Android Authority. That is a dated deal, not a guarantee of today’s price or stock. The headphones pair an adjustable, bass-forward sound with workout-oriented features, but one reviewer found their fit unreliable during prone exercises.

Android Authority reported the Crusher 540 Active for $119.99 at Amazon on September 30, 2026, $90 below the $209.99 recommended retail price. The report described it as the lowest price its tracker had seen in 2026. Check the Amazon listing for the current price, seller, color and availability before buying; deal prices can change.

Skullcandy’s US product page displayed $119.99 when accessed on October 3, 2026, but showed an out-of-stock notice for a selected variant. That does not establish Amazon inventory. TechRadar’s earlier review listed launch-period prices of $209.99 in the US, £169.99 in the UK and AU$349.99 in Australia; those dated regional figures are not current price quotes. Big bass is the defining sound feature
A slider on the left earcup adjusts Skullcandy’s Crusher bass effect. It makes it possible to turn the bass emphasis up or down to suit a track or workout, but this is a bass-forward listening feature—not a promise of neutral or reference sound. TechRadar likewise identifies adjustable low end as the headphones’ defining feature.

How well does the gym-ready fit work?
Skullcandy markets the over-ear headphones for exercise and says they have a clamping fit, breathable fabric ear cushions, and a nano-coating it describes as water- and sweat-resistant. Those are manufacturer claims, not a guarantee that the headphones will stay put for every wearer or movement.
In its hands-on review published October 19, 2025, TechRadar’s reviewer found them suitable for running and upright workouts but reported that they frequently fell off during prone gym exercises. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a prediction for every head shape. If your routine includes bench work, floor exercises or other movements lying down, fit stability is worth weighing carefully.

The evidence cited here does not establish a formal IP rating. Treat “water and sweat resistant” as Skullcandy’s wording; do not read it as waterproofing or a documented immersion rating. TechRadar lists no active noise cancellation, so passive noise isolation should not be confused with ANC. Its review lists the headphones’ weight as 312 g. See TechRadar’s review for its assessment.

Skullcandy support lists Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C charging and up to 40 hours of playtime. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent battery-test results. The same support page says a 10-minute Rapid Charge provides “4+ hours of playtime” and that a full charge takes one hour. Skullcandy recommends a charging source with no more than 18 W output. Who should consider them?
- Consider them if you want over-ear workout headphones with a bass slider, and your exercise is mostly running or upright training.
- Think twice if your routine involves frequent prone or floor exercises; the reviewer’s reported fit issue makes trying them on, if possible, especially useful.
- Compare with workout earbuds if a smaller form factor or movement-specific stability matters more than over-ear coverage and adjustable bass.
