SiteIndex is presented by its creator, Gagandeep Singh, as a collection of more than 70 free web tools that require no signup or paywall. Its stated range covers website audits, network checks, developer utilities and everyday file and text tasks. That scope comes from Singh’s September 30, 2026, announcement; it is not an independent test or audit of the tools.
What SiteIndex is said to include
In his DEV Community announcement, Singh groups the collection into four areas. The examples below are those he names; the article does not establish that the list is exhaustive.

| Category | Examples described by Singh |
|---|---|
| Website and domain | Website Score, described as an audit of a public site’s SEO, performance, security and accessibility; an embeddable live score widget is also mentioned. |
| Internet and network | Speed test, DNS lookup, DNS propagation checker, port checker, ping, HTTP headers checker and SSL checker. |
| Developer | JSON formatter, JWT decoder, regex tester, Base64 utility, hash generator, cron job maker, and UUID and ULID generators. |
| Utilities | QR code generator, PDF merge and split, image tools, text manipulation and unit converters. |
How the no-signup approach is described
Singh says tools that can run client-side do so, using a JSON formatter as an example of a task that should not require an account. That is the creator’s explanation of the design, not a verified privacy guarantee: the available announcement does not independently establish how each tool processes, transmits or retains data.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
For sensitive material, check the relevant tool’s own data-handling details before pasting it into a browser page. A claim that a tool can run locally is not, by itself, a security assessment of the site or its code.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The “70+” figure is Singh’s stated count. The announcement describes a broad set of tasks, but supplies no independent benchmark, accuracy testing, security review or comparison with other services. It therefore supports treating SiteIndex as a proposed convenient collection, not as evidence that its tools are more reliable, private or capable than alternatives.
Singh also announced a Chrome extension intended to open SiteIndex from the browser toolbar. The available article text does not establish whether it is currently available, what permissions it requests or which browser versions it supports.

Who may find the collection useful
Based on the examples Singh lists, the collection is aimed at people who occasionally need to check DNS propagation, format JSON, run a quick SEO audit on a site, or handle a small file or text task without creating an account. Whether a particular tool suits a task depends on its actual behavior and data handling; those qualities are not independently assessed in the announcement.
