In the Shorefront Family Clinic’s Z Ellis room, set the scales from left to right with the Broken Stethoscope, Prescription Dosage Error Note, and Zoe’s Lanyard. The arrangement matches the sequence of regrets in Zoe’s resignation letter.
What goes on the scales in Silent Hill: Townfall?
- Place the Broken Stethoscope on the left.
- Place the Prescription Dosage Error Note in the middle.
- Place Zoe’s Lanyard on the right.
The scales are in the Z Ellis room at the end of the Shorefront Family Clinic corridor in Chapter 4. This is a symbolic matching puzzle: the objects correspond to the letter’s meaning; you do not need to calculate their weight.

Why this is the correct order
Zoe’s resignation letter connects three regrets to the objects in sequence: not listening closely enough points to the stethoscope, making mistakes while unable to focus points to the dosage error note, and leaving her clinic role points to the lanyard. The letter includes the lines “I didn’t listen closely enough” and “I made mistakes and couldn’t focus on the task at hand.” VGC

If the scales do not accept the arrangement
- Check that the items are in the exact left-to-right order: stethoscope, dosage error note, lanyard.
- Make sure you have collected all three objects.
- If the pharmacy locker will not open, look for its clue first. The clinic reception code, 2896, is for an optional room and is not needed for this scales puzzle.
