Spoilers for Silent Hill: Townfall’s endings. Forever is one of the game’s three main endings, and you can reach it on your first playthrough. It is not selected by a single choice at the finale: writer and director Jon McKellan says the main endings reflect the player’s actions across the run. A third-party guide, PowerPyx, reports that exploration, Simon’s kills, Cannula refills and certain Chapter 7 puzzle mistakes affect the score used to determine the ending.
How to aim for the Forever ending
PowerPyx describes Forever as the middle score outcome. Its reported score bands are 0–19 points for Forever, more than 20 for Justice, and below 0 for Abandoned. These thresholds and point values come from PowerPyx’s guide; Konami has not published them as an official scoring formula, so treat them as a practical route rather than a guarantee.

The guide says kills as Zoe or Richard do not change this point total, even though they affect the displayed kill statistic. It also says dialogue choices, elapsed time and healing-item use do not alter its reported ending score. Do not use those visible or tempting measures as substitutes for tracking the four listed inputs.

- Start a tally. Add one for each Clue or Document you collect.
- Subtract reported penalties. Deduct two for each enemy Simon kills, four for each Cannula refill and three for each specified Chapter 7 mistake that damages Zoe.
- Use the result as a guide. PowerPyx places Forever in the 0–19 range, but the developer interview does not confirm a precise cutoff.
- Consider a late-game save. If the game gives you an opportunity before the final stretch, make a separate save so you can revisit the ending route without replaying the entire run.
Because the scoring details are third-party guide findings rather than official rules, a tally can help you plan but cannot guarantee which ending the game will award.

Do you need New Game+ for Forever?
No. In a PlayStation.Blog interview published July 30, 2026, McKellan said the main endings are determined by the culmination of actions throughout a playthrough, not a simple binary choice at the end. The same interview quotes Konami series producer Motoi Okamoto saying all three main endings are available on a first playthrough, while the secret ending opens after clearing the game once. Keep the special endings separate from the first-run route
PowerPyx lists Dog and Sci-fi as New Game+ endings reached through specific item interactions. They are separate from the score-driven main endings, so pursuing those special routes is not part of a first-playthrough plan for Forever. The guide’s all endings walkthrough covers those routes as well as its reported score system.

What the game’s launch details do—and do not—tell you
PlayStation announced that Silent Hill: Townfall would launch on PS5 on September 24, 2026. Its release and gameplay announcement describes using the CRTV to assess situations while navigating stealth sections and says puzzles were designed alongside the story. Those details provide context for play, but the announcement does not identify them as Forever-ending conditions.
