PowerPyx’s guide, “Silent Hill Townfall All Clues & Documents Locations” (published September 21, 2026), lists every one across six parts and 17 chapters, with each item’s name, area, and directions. Finding all 85 unlocks the Observation and Thorough Inspection trophy/achievement.
This article explains what the 85 items are, how the count and reward work, and how to work through the collection chapter by chapter. Clues and Documents: what the two categories are
The collection has two kinds of item, and the guide treats them differently. Clues are puzzle-solution information. Documents are optional story information. Both are part of the same 85-item total, and both count toward the Discoveries Found statistic.

| Category | What it is, per the guide | Counts toward Discoveries Found | Needed for the 85 total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clues | Puzzle-solution information | Yes | Yes |
| Documents | Optional story information | Yes | Yes |
The guide does not give a split between the two categories in the material used for this article, so this page does not state how many of the 85 are Clues and how many are Documents. Check the guide’s item list if you want to tally them separately.
#1 Best Overall
- Experienced entirely in first person, explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged.
- SILENT HILL: Townfall is a full-length, self-contained psychological horror set against the cold, isolated backdrop of Scotland, 1996
What finding all 85 gets you
According to the same guide, collecting all 85 unlocks the Observation and Thorough Inspection trophy (PlayStation) or achievement (Steam and Epic Games Store). The guide also says that the Discoveries Found statistic, which includes both categories, contributes to the main ending. Treat the collection as part of your ending progress, not only as a trophy checklist.
How the collection is organized
PowerPyx arranges the 85 items into six parts and 17 chapters. Each chapter entry gives the collectible name, the area where it is found, and directions to it. Area labels and item names are reproduced as the guide writes them, so match your in-game location against the guide’s wording rather than memory.

How to track your progress through the collection
- Open PowerPyx’s “Silent Hill Townfall All Clues & Documents Locations” guide and go to Part 1, Chapter 1.
- Make a simple tally for each chapter: list the items the guide names for that chapter, then tick each one as you find it.
- Before leaving a chapter, compare your tally with the guide’s entry for that chapter. Any item you have not found is still outstanding.
- Check your running total against the Discoveries Found statistic in the game. Both Clues and Documents should count toward it.
- Repeat for each of the remaining parts and chapters until your tally reaches 85.
Missable items
None of the sources used for this article documents a missable collectible. That means no specific item is confirmed as impossible to return to later, but it also means the absence of a warning is not proof that every item can be collected at any time. If you want to avoid risk, check the guide’s entry for each chapter before you advance past it.
Game context that helps with collecting
Silent Hill: Townfall was released on September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, according to Konami’s release announcement. It is a first-person psychological horror game developed by Screen Burn Interactive in Glasgow and co-published with Annapurna Interactive. The protagonist, Simon Ordell, arrives on the remote island of St. Amelia off Scotland.
Rank #3
- Day One Edition Bonus: CRTV Style: Rusted, CRTV Style: Beach Edition
- When Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to "put things in order", he meets a city lying quietly in dense fog, seemingly abandoned, yet anything but dormant
- After venturing further to understand his connection to this place and its inhabitants, he gradually discovers fragments of the past rising to the surface
- Simon must explore, evade and survive from a first-person perspective. It uses a limited arsenal of weapons and tools, including the CRTV: a portable TV to receive unstable signals
- The dodging is tension, the battles are hectic and the story-based puzzles reveal a truth that does not want to remain hidden
Two systems matter for clue-hunting. The CRTV is a handheld retro television and radio device. Developer commentary from Screen Burn Interactive says players use it to locate nearby threats, to receive signals that reveal story details, and to help with challenges. The game also combines story-linked puzzles with combat and stealth. Jon McKellan, Writer and Director at Screen Burn Interactive, wrote in PlayStation.Blog’s February 12, 2026 feature that the CRTV was built to “produce the gritty, authentic audio and video used throughout the game.” Because signals on the CRTV reveal story details, keep it active while exploring rather than treating it as an optional gadget.
